This year, I invested in pumpkins. They've been going up the whole month of October, and I got a feeling they're going to peak right around January. Then, bang! That's when I'll cash in!

Came to say--hey, wait a minute! Your user name is also a Simpsons reference! Isn't that a conflict of interest?

Sincerely,
Homer Simpson

The thing about pumpkins that are going to rise are prices if we don't get rain.

Haven't heard of this till now. Are we talking 'hot for the eastern seaboard wussies' or hot for a Texas summer in the parking heat? 110+? Or just high 90's?

It's about like Houston. Around 100 with high humidity. The air is so thick you can't breath, feels like death.

Pumpkin sales will be nonexistent if this damn drought doesn't f*ck off already.

This might just be a temporary trend, but I myself have noticed, right around December each year, a boom in the acquisition of evergreen trees in the 4-feet to 7-feet height range. Makes you wonder if it might be a good idea to just grow a lot of them myself and try to sell them.

I posted two other stories by Ric this week (he's been busy!), we would have had a Romero trifecta if those had been greenlit.

One was about "did you know you could do most of your banking on your phone", the other was about the amazing discovery that you can protect your electronic gadgets from the elements (like wet water)... by putting them in bags. No lie, he reported on that.

I used to haul 300lb. blocks of ice up five, six flights of stairs!

MattyBlast - sounds like another fine mess you've gotten into. Didn't your partners, Stan and Ollie, help?
