Well, yeah, that's a great thing to focus on. Republicans never waste more tax dollars than Democrats when they're in office. We should totally elect more of those guys. Let's get this country back on its feet by electing a venture capitalist.

Obama spent $500 million on a trip to India. Lib arguments are invalid.

I don't know. Let's look at the details of both of them and then I'll decide which I care about more.

Paying this Congress' salary is a waste of my tax dollars.

I thought it was $500 trillion. I distinctly remember Glenn Beck saying so.

Mitt Romney's tax returns.

Next question.

How many times have the Republicans held votes to repeal the Affordable Care Act? How much has it cost?

Republicans are in full panic mode now. Best part: They never wanted Romney in the first place.

Most of our tax dollars are being wasted no matter who is in office.

2012-07-18 12:35:52 PM
Stupid Obama! Continuing the war in Iraq and championing the extension of only the top level tax cuts originally enacted under his predecessor. I bet he didn't even support the massive austerity cuts enacted as a fail safe during the debt ceiling derpfest.

And if Romney had released his tax returns only to have people asking for the real long form ones because they didn't believe he actually had real tax returns, this poor attempt at false equivalence would mean something.

FTFY. Totally saw that in an email.

Romney wants to add $2.1 Trillion to the "defense" budget, which is already the most ridiculous budget in the world.

Actually, I'm a bit more worried about how Romney will waste our tax dollars. Which has been pretty much a continuing theme with him.

I'm not 100% behind Obama, but we cannot afford a Romney Presidency. Our grandchildren can't afford a Romney Presidency.

I read a few days ago, somewhere in the neighborhood of $50million.

They're sort of wasting their time though, by voting over and over again to do something that they know won't pass the Senate. If they'd spent equal time on real legislation, they might have inched toward getting something real done.

The guy is dressed like a tea partier. I don't think they like Romney all that much either.

2012-07-18 01:32:12 PM
Please note: Obama doesn't waste tax payer dollars. The President isn't in charge of the federal budget. Congress is. Money being wasted in the federal government would be their fault.

Some guy used this line at a Romney event Q&A and the RW has ran with it.

Not sure the cost, but I think the number of attempts is at 33

And there's some nice breakdowns on-line from various sources about what the budget in general and stimulus money went to. Which, at various points, I've glanced at.

And as soon as the Romney camp puts up the PDFs, the Obama camp should pull the ads asking for the tax returns.

Can I see both, then decide which is cause for more outrage.

And btw, women's health clinics like Planned Parenthood saves tax dollars, so I don't consider funding women's health clinics a waste.

No! Rush distinctly slurred it was $500 billion trillion AN HOUR

I'm actually pretty surprised by how poorly the Romney team is handling things. I expected them to be better than this. It's early, though, of course.

Willie Geist see's Erik Ericsson's nonsense and raises him "What's more important? Romney's taxes? Or the fact that Romney is going to carry forth the same Bush policies, the policies that plunged us into debt with 2 unfunded wars, Medicare Part D, and the biggest part of the current debt."

Let me spell it out for you:

Building yet another one of these monstrosities when we already have more than the rest of the world combined

is a waste of taxpayer money.

While this

is never a waste of taxpayer money.

They're going to end up running all of their congressional candidates against Romney so they can take over the Senate and keep the House.

Why won't Obama release the FBI files on his time as a Black Panther?

Let me think...

Waste = anything the republicans or conservatives don't like

or

Rmoney's tax returns, which may have enough salacious info to knock him out of the republican presidential nomination

Tough choice here.

Romney is extremely defensive about his tax returns. It's obvious that he's hiding something.
