We get it, Tennessee. They're various shades of brown.

2012-07-18 08:36:43 AM
It's all about the economy and taxes, huh?

2012-07-18 08:42:28 AM
Over the last year or two Tennessee has been the stealth candidate for dumbest state in the Union, giving such traditional candidates Arizona and Florida a real run for the money

Evangelical fundamentalists have taken over my TEA Party? It's more likely than you think.

/Would be laughable if not so scary

Are resolutions crudely scrawled in crayon considered valid?

2012-07-18 08:46:50 AM
By the way, the state Senate majority leader, a Republican of course, is being challenged by a Teabagger on these exact grounds - that he promoted Shari'a Law as Majority Leader, because the Governor appointed a Muslim woman who once worked for the Obama White House.

2012-07-18 08:52:53 AM
They certainly do sound taxed enough already, don't they?

2012-07-18 08:59:11 AM
Hard to take a "live and let live" attitude when they insist on sharing the crazy.

2012-07-18 09:03:31 AM
Kevin Kookogey, chairman of the Williamson County Republicans, was more forthright...

He's a kook, all right.

Damn Teabaggers.

"Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam has elevated and/or afford [sic] preferential political status to Sharia adherents in Tennessee, thereby aiding and abetting the advancement of an ideology and doctrine which is wholly incompatible with the Constitution of the United States and the Tennessee Constitution," the Williamson resolution, dated July 10, 2012, states.

Ah. I see the problem now. They're irony-challenged. Common affliction among Teabaggers, I hear.

And pressed about the opposition to gay employees at the Department of Children's Services, Mallory said he would have to think it over before he could offer a comment. "I'm going to hold off comment on that one," he said. "I don't know how to respond appropriately to that one."

translation: "How can I say this without coming off as a bigoted retard?"

Sure, guffaw all you want libs. TN is taking on the problem most other states have been afraid to approach out of fears of upsetting the political correctness demanded by libtards and the MSM.

1. They are the only state to pass Anti-Sharia Law statuates which would imprisson Islams to 15 years in jail for practicing their treasonous poison.

2. TN, more than any other state, experienced first hand what the muzzies are up to during 9/11. Link Can you imagine forever having your baby's birthday linked to such a horrific day? The odds of that are a million to one, and it's a damn shame.

3. Nashville is an obvious target due to the brave speaking out by our Country and Western stars (well, most of them... I'm looking at you Dixie Chickens)... but of course, Hollywood wants nothing to do with the music Real America listens to, so just let the Grand Ol Oprey be torn down to make another mosque, right libs?

4. Listen to these 2 quotes, and decide who's side you want to be on...

"Only in the Roman Empire and in Spain under Arab domination has culture been a potent factor. Under the Arab, the standard attained was wholly admirable; to [Islamic] Spain flocked the greatest scientists, thinkers, astronomers, and mathematicians of the world, and side by side there flourished a spirit of sweet human tolerance and a sense of purist chivalry. Then with the advent of Christianity, came the barbarians. Had Charles Martel not been victorious at Poitiers-already you see the world had already fallen into the hands of the Jews, so gutless a thing Christianity!"

"Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities. Thousands become the brave and loyal soldiers of the Queen: all know how to die. But the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytising faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science - the science against which it had vainly struggled - the civilisation of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilisation of ancient Rome."

One is Hitler, one is Winsten Churchills... Which side do you want to be on libs?

Keep fighting the good fight TN!!! Don't become another Michegan!!!

The county GOP resolutions denounce Ali as an expert in "Sharia compliant finance."

What this is I don't even...

"We got no response, not even a 'we got your letter,' nothing," he said. "That kind of set several of us off."

Yeah. THAT set you off.

Looks like they're producing some serious weapons-grade enriched derpanium down there.

I wouldn't be the least bit concerned if some random stranger felt the urge to walk up to Kyle Mallory and Kevin Kookogey and punched them right in their taints.

How the hell did we get to the point where the crazy people who used to rant on street corners now have positions of power in their local governments?

tell me this isn't real, that it's just an Onion article that got lost and posted to the wrong website....

That's...actually a real thing. I don't know why being an expert in the field of Islamic banking is a negative thing, but clearly this raging lunatic thinks so.

Seems to me that isn't really a problem for him.

Like hatred, intolerance, bigotry and misogyny?

Pepperidge Farms remembers.

"Quite frankly, [and] this is not specifically pointed at anybody, but it might be just the fact that certain people are disgruntled that they were passed over because they weren't hired by the government," Devaney said.

They'll argue the "No Religious Test" clause only applies to the Federal government, deny that this is an establishment of religion, and claim that anyway the Fourteenth Amendment doesn't actually mean the states are also bound by the First Amendment, because George Washington went to Church.

Or something like that.

And this, teabaggers, this is why your stupid ideology is a joke, the laughing stock of even people in Tennessee's metro areas. You don't even know what Sharia law is much less how it's implemented.

Much of the rest of the nation is laughing at you.

2012-07-18 11:02:56 AM
Don't call them racist or partisan. They just want their country back.

2012-07-18 11:04:51 AM
Jesus Christ. If I was a minority of any sort in Tennessee (liberal, muslim, or gay) I would definitely own a gun. "Purge them from office!" sounds only one step away from "round them all up!"

2012-07-18 11:05:15 AM
But don't you dare call them racists or bigots.

Willie Geist just loves what you've done with the place, Tennessee. A little bigotry here, a little frothing theofascism there. You just need a good cross burning to really tie the room together.

While TN, FL, and AZ might be the bastions of Teabagtastic Derpification, there are people all over who think America is (or should be) a Christian nation.

The US fought and won the Civil War for THIS?

2012-07-18 11:12:38 AM
The county GOP resolutions denounce Ali as an expert in "Sharia compliant finance."

Fun fact: Sharia law was one of the first western legal systems to afford women various rights in marriage (including, for the time, fairly loose restrictions and low penalties on divorce), allow non-financial disputes to be settled in the equivalent of civil court via financial restitution rather than criminally, and allow citizens to dispose of their property outside of a strict system of inheritance handing over all properties to the blood/adopted heir.

I can see why the Tea Party would have issues with this, sounds like durned librul balderdash to me.

I swear I wouldn't recognize my state of birth now, after not living there for nearly 30 years. The counties mentioned are seriously rural, but I grew up in a rural county as well and don't recall this level of bigotry, prejudice and hatred, ever.

How did this kind of behavior become accepted and even encouraged, by one of the main political parties in this nation?

Typical attitude and beliefs of southern christians. At least these guys wear their derp on their sleeves instead of hiding behind closed church doors like the rest of them.
