TFA claims it was a 'long-term' employee. Lord only knows what qualifies as long term for a job with such high turn-over rates. But working fast food for an extended period of time certainly can be detrimental to one's sanity.

Of course, the joy you would experience at being free from such a job would be countered by the embarrassment of actually being fired from a fast food job. But then one would need a sense of shame to feel any embarrassment, so who knows with this jackass. Hopefully his next job won't put him in contact with food.

I would imagine the kind of summerfriend that posts pictures with Exif data on /b/ is exactly the kind of person that would become a longtime employee of a fast food chain by necessity rather than by choice.

My SIL worked for BK as a down-and-out college student. One of her coworkers got in an argument with the boss, who told him to change out of his uniform and GTFO. After taking a suspiciously long time in the change room/store room, he came out in his civvies, stared down the boss, and said "I might have pissed in one of the pickle jars." Then he left.

They had to dispose of every one of the jars of pickles they had...dozens and dozens of the giant jars. SIL didn't know if they pressed charges against the guy, but she was sure that she wasn't ever going to eat pickles at a fast food place. And from that CSB (CSS?) our family picked up "pissed in the pickle jar" as a euphemism for mindless revenge.

Yeah, pretty sure. After having watched it wax and wane, in my opinion, the dark secret of /b/ and the real reason the enforced anon status was such a big deal was that a disproportionate amount of the user base was hot/cute/average/normal chicks. Now by disproportionate I don't mean it ever came anywhere near 50%, but in comparison to what you would expect of an internet forum, and specifically of an internet forum devoted to 'gross' stuff. It shows in the viciousness of individual attacks when they turn and eat their own. 70-80% goes baying after the target in lockstep, and 20% or so have a uniquely virulent....focus to their attacks. A significant portion of the Fandom Wank catty biatches brigade spent time on /b/, I'm fairly certain. Which side learned more of cruelty from that exchange I couldn't say.

Wouldn't the tamper proof seal make it rather obvious which one was tampered with? Or am I giving these employees too much credit?

This stuff must happen mostly at fast food places, because I have worked in full-service restaurants for years and saw only two examples of workers adulterating food.

One was promptly fired (spit in a woman's food after she was biatchy)
The other was the owner (threw a steak on the floor after a guy sent it back twice)
