(The Hollywood Reporter)   Rush Limbaugh is just asking questions: Did Obama's handlers invent a time machine, go back to the early 90s and infiltrate DC Comics, and create the Bane character just so voters would associate the name with Bain Capital in 2012?   (hollywoodreporter.com) divider line 185

shower_in_my_socks: According to Rush, Nolan waited to find out who the GOP nominee would be, then wrote, produced, edited, marketed and released a 2 hr and 45 min action film in THREE MONTHS.

Once you've assumed the existence of a time machine, anything is possible.

LOL this is so ridiculous. After all the mocking, i bet you tomorrow he's just going to claim 'hay guize, it was just a joke!'

Honestly, the guy must be back on the pills. You tend to think about fantastical thoughts like this when you're high. Has he been losing weight again?

At least one reviewer has claimed The Dark Knight Rises is also very favorable to the Right Wing. But I am sure Rush will take that into account in his upcoming programs.

I'm surprised he made time to mention this batshiat crazy idiocy when he spent all day fellating Bain Capital because Obama's speech yesterday proves he's the commiest commie to have ever communism.

The joys of having to listen to freeper crap at work and then have your co-worker try and challenge you on everything you believe as soon as it leaves Rush's lips.

2012-07-17 08:55:02 PM

Jim_Callahan: To be fair, the first time I heard someone refer to "Bain Capital", my first reaction was that that's a bit on the nose if you're trying to pretend your company isn't evil. Given that, y'know, 'bane' is an English word meaning a personal nemesis and had been for several centuries before comic books were even a thing.

Didn't realize it was someone's name until I saw it in writing and learned the spelling.

Yeah, I came to say this. The word has been around for a long time and it doesn't conjure up thoughts of rainbows and puppy dogs.

Limbaugh is neither politically astute or entertaining. He is not clever, or culturally aware. He isn't attractive or interesting in any way, shape or form. I can't believe anyone gives a rat's ass what the guy says or that I just wasted four sentences worth of words explaining what should be the common perception for anyone with enough brain cells to read and understand what I just said.

So I'm guessing then that it must be all about the lulz. Agreed?

Yes, Freepers, the Obama camp went back to the early 2000s and got Warners to invest 150 million dollars and hire a director who had only done indie films to reboot a franchise that suffered an embarassing fourth installment. The end result was Batman Begins.

Obama then parlayed that into a megahit sequel that cost not just 200 million dollars, but also the life of a critically acclaimed actor.

You heard it here. Buildabear Hungryhungryhippos Fartbambo killed Heath Ledger to drum up support (Or did Ledger commit suicide for Obama's cause? Remember, he did that movie that made good hearted conservatives feel a little uncomfortable for the way they were looking at George W. clearing brush and their hero, cowboy Ronnie.)

Obama then parlayed that into an extremely anticipated $250 million sequel with a villain named Bane that would open this weekend on the off chance he'd be running for re-election to the presidency against someone who had something to do with Bain Capital. A person really unknown outside of Massachusetts at the time this conspiracy began.

Seriously Rush, pull your head out of the Dominican kid's ass.
BTW, Rush is totally back on the Oxy.

Conservatives care entirely too much about fiction. Nolan's first Batman and second Batman films, and Taken, and a couple of others were championed by conservatives as vindicating their views on how to deal with threats and oh ho ho it's so ironic that liberals loved those fictional stories. Archie comics has a gay marriage, Superman says in a comic he's a citizen of Earth instead of a citizen of the USA, V for Vendetta, JK Rowling outs Dumbledore as a gay character, and a few others and conservatives suddenly retroactively hated both Archie and Superman since as long as they could remember for always being so anti-American.

Is their passionate love/hate relationship with fantasy related to how outside of reality they currently live? They can't just be incredibly passionate nerds. This has to be seen as an assault on their direct perception of reality instead of just an entertainment outlet they happen to find sends a disagreeable message.

Knightfall was a great series, but the rest of the story arc made about as much sense as Rush's rant.

Selina Kyle(Cat Woman, a criminal) To Bruce Wayne(Batman) You think this can last? There's a storm coming, Mr. Wayne. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

Today was the first time I've ever listened to Rush and I heard this segment, so getting a kick.

Nadie_AZ: "So this evil villain in the new Batman movie is named Bane. And there's discussion out there as to whether or not this was purposeful and whether or not it will influence voters. It's going to have a lot of people," he continued. "The audience is going to be huge. A lot of people are going to see the movie. And it's a lot of brain-dead people -- entertainment, the pop culture crowd -- and they're going to hear Bane in the movie and they're going to associate Bain."

And the bolded quote is priceless. Anyone venture to guess who else entertains huge audiences of brain dead people?

Note: Immediately before this he was doing a segment on Obama's comments that nobody makes it on their own and was emphatically telling his audience to avoid thinking about it in depth and be a reactionary, like him.

He's an entertainer who's gift is creating faux outrage and sarcasm that's so sublime it gets past most people. Rush political talk should be given as much credence as the WBC protest. Some may say that I am the bane of species on several worlds. Have you sat in my seat? Do you understand the gravity of the decisions I have made? My...late business partners were precious to me, but they were weak. What happened when the Reagan Administration acceded to the United States? The United States and Iraq was launched into a devastating war they failed to anticipate. What happened to the United States during their alliance with the Iran?

My friends. I now control the PAC Wraiths and will use their mighty power to bend the universe to my will.
