I have 25 packages of salmon that have been in my closet for about a year that are sell by: 2014 to 2015. They are part of my apocalypse planning. 12 pack on Amazon These are $0.45/oz. They last for years and are light and easy to carry in an emergency.

It's the shipping that gets you though


Yeah, I get them at the grocery store. They irregularly have a 10/$10 special.
