I made a troll account over there with the intent to see how easily they could be manipulated. I asserted that "we" should stick to fact-based arguments, and all this stuff about Obama building FEMA death camps was beneath "us" and offensive to the legacy of great conservatives like Buckley.

A shibboleth, if you will.

Felgraf: Dwight_Yeast: Felgraf: Plus, the Doctor deposing her left a gap for The Master to exploit. And in the end, she *was* right: There would be a time when the doctor wasn't there. And it seems like *no one* ever mentions this, or call The Doctor out on it, and it frustrated me.

Part of the point was that, absent the rules and oversight of the Time Lords, The Doctor was spinning out of control. It hit a high (low) point with the Waters of Mars.

/It was RTD trying to take down another series in flames.

I will say I am pleased by the reduced number of Giant Reset buttons (or, at least, ones that appear less out of left field.)
/Glowy jesus doctor. Really now, RTD?

What I love is how this thread has evolved into a discussion about the Doctor.

Sh*t like that is actually unnerving. It says to me they're more interested in marching in lock-step than having any sort of real conversation. It's not as though you went over there and said, "HAHA SUCK IT, RETHUGLICANS!!1bbq" What you said was entirely reasonable and still supportive of so-called conservatives.

It would be like Fark banning someone because they suggested that maybe liberals should drop their support for that mandatory homogay face-rape law we've all been clamoring for, and focus on the important things like raising revenue in a recession. It's a perfectly reasonable suggestion.

Btw, in my mind, a law mandating homoghey face-rapes is no more abhorrent than half the sh*t the GOP is trying to pawn off on us in the name of Jesus. Lining up on or about your eighteenth birthday -the same time you register with selective service- to be throat-farked is probably far less psychologically damaging than being handed a tax-funded voucher and sent to a school teaching young Earth creationism.

Anyway, it's just disturbing how nonchalantly Freepers will ban people. It's like you have to speak and EXACT language, or face the consequences. And yet the douchebags here at Fark constantly accuse liberals of being a "hive mind." Yeesh.

This is Mitt's race to win, if he isn't leading significantly going into the general, he's not going to survive the debates. He had issues in some of the early GOP debates against teabaggers who picked the most obvious lines of attack, and he wasn't capable enough to deal with it. He practiced up and won, but the primary was a lot bloodier than it should have been.

Throwing him up against Obama in a real debate is going to be like putting someone in a wheelchair on American Gladiators.

Tell me your cool story bro! :3

What story? If you disagree with anything on Free Republic, you get banned. They're paranoid and immediately remove any user who seems the slightest bit not completely hateful of all things liberal.

I'm not exaggerating. Go to Free Republic and try to post the most benign thing you can think of that disagrees with the premise that Obama wants to destroy America.

I was banned from free republic a couple years back for saying that it was good that general contractors had to be licensed. I even threw inside a little racism and said that making sure contractors were licensed would keep the illegals from taking jobs that should go to tax paying citizens, but either the idea of citizens paying taxes or licening requirements was too much socialism for the true patriots. What are you gonna do?

I haven't really been back much since then (i stop by freep impact after big stories), and all joking aside, I just feel better about the world. I mean, i know that they exist and vote, and that thought is depressing as hell, but not subjecting myself to the socially transmitted schizophrenia (stolen from another farker) that is freerepublic.com just makes my soul feel lighter.

Weaver95: I really do think that Romney's biggest handicap is that he's simply not used to thinking on his feet. he's used to being in complete control of everything around him...and that's not an environment conducive to a sharp and agile mind. this bain capital thing is kicking his ass and he can't seem to get out in front of it, so he's basically going to ignore it as much as possible. I have NO idea what's up with the tax return thing...but he sure seems afraid of that as well. Romney's essentially self destructing....or heading that way anyways...and we're no where near to election day.

I'm not saying Romney's stupid...but he sure is trying to convince me that he's stupid. And that both puzzles and amazes me. He simply should not be having this much trouble this soon.

This whole bain/taxes thing has been amuzing to watch. Obama isn't even hitting him that hard yet. Romney is having to spend huge sums of money just to maintain the status quo, as evidenced by the ads i see on my phone when on a fark thread that so much as MENTIONS romney or bain
