With all the things he been in such as Stargate Atlantis, the remake of Conan the Barbarian and they go with Baywatch Hawaiian Nights as the highlight of his career. That must really hurt.

Honestly, if I could feasibly get away with it, I'd love to ditch my cellphone. I just don't feel the need to be always within contact (except when I have to be for work). I miss the days when we didn't feel the need to be within arms reach of everyone we knew 24/7.

He's the only actor on the show that I think didn't do his role justice. He just didn't seem intimidating or scary enough. His muscles were poorly toned. Yes, that's my actual complaint. Everyone else was believable, but you never forget for a second that Drogo was being played by an actor.

it was a short hallucination. They can't deviate too far from the book without messing up later plot lines and he isn't in the series anymore.

Realistically, someone in that environment wouldn't have a lot of muscle tone. Developing muscle tone generally requires specific kinds of exercise and diet. Chances are, Drogo wasn't doing low-rep, heavy weight exercises along with a very low fat diet. The natural state of a human, even one in excellent physical condition, is with a layer of subcutaneous fat that hides some muscle definition. Body builders work to lessen that layer so their muscle definition is more apparent, thus giving them that toned look that doesn't generally happen if you're not specifically trying for it.

Because couches are way more comfortable and stuff on your computer can be streamed on a 50'' screen.

It's not even about things being commercial free. It's about watching the programmes I want when I want and having access to huge numbers of movies online. I pay Lovefilm like £8/month and get 1 DVD rental and streaming movies (generally streamed just after DVD release).

You could cut me off from broadcast TV and I'd be perfectly happy with streaming movies, streaming comedy series and news from sites like Fark and Google News. Unfortunately, Mrs FarkerUK likes the dancing competition shows.

One thing that's funny in the UK is people calling for the return of Top Of The Pops which was our big music show. Yeah, because what people want is to sit through 80% music they don't like for the one song they do, when they can just type the name into YouTube and watch it.

I think he means "why have cable", because that's a logical argument he's making for dropping cable.

However, you're right that a 50" screen can be hooked up to a computer for streaming purposes, too.

Yes, because it's totally impossible to connect your computer to your TV or, if 50" is too small, hook your computer up to a projector.

Loved his big speech post-assassination attempt...I thought he did decently before that, but the big moment that I really got on board was when he haka'd out for that scene.

And, as far as the muscles, the guys that will really hurt you and end up being the most intimidating aren't the ones with perfectly toned guns, they're the ones that don't give a fark and go from perfectly calm to batshiat crazy in a millisecond, right before they fold you up like a pretzel.

That was a good scene. What impressed me was not just that he was so powerful, so present, it was that he was doing all of that while speaking a made-up language and (or so the internet geeks say) speaking it correctly. He literally had to learn a new language for this role, one he could NOT have learned before, and still managed to make it seem like he'd been speaking it all his life. All while going apeshiat. A+.

And, as far as the muscles, the guys that will really hurt you and end up being the most intimidating aren't the ones with perfectly toned guns, they're the ones that don't give a fark and go from perfectly calm to batshiat crazy in a millisecond, right before they fold you up like a pretzel.

And that is Drogo, really. He doesn't have to posture, he just IS. Toned muscles are for guys who project and want to look impressive, but toned muscles mean very little when it comes to being strong in a functionally useful way. Momoa looks strong and muscled, but not polished. He looks realistic, like every one of those muscles was earned out of necessity. So yeah, I really liked Jason Momoa as Drogo and it's tragic he won't have more opportunities to show that bad-assedry.

Meh, maybe he'll get a better vehicle than Conan sometime down the road.

If he actually actively refuses to own a TV, as the article suggests (but isn't actually supported by the video in TFA), that would be ironic. Much in the way that Alec Guinness hating Star Wars was ironic, since it ended up being one of his most successful films.
