I used to read Captain America and the Falcon when I was a kid, so I have kind of a soft spot for the character. I just wonder how you make a guy with big red feathered wings not look a little goofy on film.

In a couple incarnations (Ultimates, and I think others) the wings were energy-based instead of physical feathers. If you make it like that, and position him as wearing a Stark-designed or at least Stark-derived suit, you could get there.

Well, Iron Man has a black sidekick, so of course Captain America needs one, too.

Captain America had one long before Iron Man did.

I like Anthony Mackie. He's come a long way from being Papa Doc in 8 Mile

Say what you will about The Falcon, at least he got his own Mego figure back in the 70s. That's no small feat for a black superhero during that decade.

I ususally think comic book movies are best when they stick to the source material, but in Falcon's case, I wouldn't mind a little tweaking.

There is a difference between God and Thor and Loki. Thor and Loki could be considered aliens or more powerful beings that The ancient people would consider gods because of their powers. That is like if Superman fell to earth in our ancient times. He would be considered a god too.

cue "It's a Trap!"

Don't fall in to it. I thought that was one of the best throw-away lines in the movie. I would put it right between "We have a Hulk" and "Puny God".

FTFA: "I understand Falcon was Marvel's first African American superhero..."

Try again dude. The Black Panther was Marvel's first African American superhero.

Yeah well, they could just go back to the origin where he was a social worker/crime fighter before Englehart decided Falcon had been a pimp whose memories had been altered by a farking Cosmic Cube (always the Marvel Universe equivalent of "God did it!"). I think that and Nomad were two of his very worst storyline ideas.

Doh! That'll teach me to scan and post instead of actually reading and then posting.

Its like in high school when this girl asked the german exchange students how many african americans went to their school and then called them racists when they said none.

Or whoever builds SHIELD's stuff. Randcorp maybe? Would be a nice tip of the hat to Iron Fist.

Goddammitsomuch, they need to make a Heroes For Hire movie, and they need Quentin Tarantino to direct it.

I've felt for a while now that QT would make a seriously awesome Deadpool movie.

And I've felt for a while now that I'd enjoy a blow job from Kate Upton, but I still don't expect it to happen.

Gotta go - there's someone knocking on my door.

I thought Loki's response to the "We have a Hulk" line was awesome. He didn't seem intimidated, or arrogant or argumentative. Just confused.

I wonder if you could do a kickstart for something like that? Set it in the 70's?

As much as I wanted to, I just could not care at all about Falcon. He just seemed so... tacked on to Captain America. Can't quite explain it, but storylines with Falcon always felt like they had to be endured until they were over and he woudl wander off again. Never once did I think "Oh cool! This one has Falcon in it!" It's not that he was bad, it was just that he seemed like flavorless filler.

At least with Nomad, I actually hated it. Nomad was a stupid whining biatch, and I hated when he would guest star, but at least it illicited a response. Falcon was always just such a ... null value.

Maybe it's just me.

/Just can't imagine what a guy in a Condorman costume could really add to a movie.

That does not fix the whole "looking goofy" problem.
