The Bears were making a Super Bowl run before Cutler and Forte got injured. They were 7-4 or something like that with 4 games against the weak AFC West coming up. Not Cutler + No Forte = Lost 4 games against the worst division in the NFL + Missing the playoffs.
Super Bowl wut? As a Bears fan, the Bears would have been on a run to make the playoffs and beat out Atlanta for the #6. Now, you can argue that the Bears may have been a better playoff match up against the Giants, but if they beat the G-men, all that does is win another Super Bowl for the Packers, and no one wants that. If not the #6, then the Bears would have gone to NO and get slaughtered in the Dome.
