Marvel is going to keep making movies after the art house indie flick, "The Avengers" was such an abject financial failure? Good luck with all of that. My money is on the Green Lantern sequel.

Ant-man could be a lead-in to Ultron. He's the logical choice for the bad guy in Avengers 3.

Is this...are you being....are you serious? The First Ant-Man was Hank Pym, one of the founders of the Avengers. I mean, it just kind of...you know...makes sense. And you can then bring in Wasp, another iconic Avenger.

But who the hell cares about Ant-Man anyway...Guardians of the Galaxy is a go!

Yes, they do remember it. They can only remember it, though, and not doing something new with it because they don't own it. Micronauts was a licensed property for Marvel, like Rom the Spaceknight. They own the Microverse setting, and I believe they still own Bug definitively, but the rest are in limbo. They showed up as the "Microns" several years ago, but they can't be called the Micronauts, and I'm not sure if they can still use all the same names even.

I don't care if it's direct-to-video. I would pay good money for that.

As far as Captain America, I would have held off on Winter Soldier until the third movie. Bucky should stay dead for at least one whole film. Other than that, it probably will be a great film.

Considering that they've already brought Cap to the present day, I say it's a pretty solid choice of story line. I mean, they aren't ready to bring the Red Skull back or intro Baron Zemo (yet), but they could definitely pull off a Winter Soldier story and still have time to work both of them into Avengers 2, while still freeing up Bucky to replace Cap in Captain America 3.

Holy Fark. One of my favorite toys as a kid was a Baron Karza action figure. I had no idea what it was, and had forgotten about it, until I saw that cover.

Yep, this was pointless.

I guess Guardians of the Galaxy would somehow tie into Thanos and Avengers 2, but it's a much less well known comic and characters, it's got a talking raccoon and tree for God's sake. Well, semi-talking tree; he's only got one line. Although I guess they are running out of the A-list heroes and teams. However, I will definitely buy a ticket to see a Gamora's green gams.

Mugato: Aarontology: Ant-Man? really?

A Thor spinoff with the Warriors Three and Sif.
Luke Cage
Black Widow / Hawkeye team up.
Captain Marvel - ties into Avengers 2 and spins off into Ms. Marvel
Ares or Hercules
re-do Daredevil
a solo Nick Fury
Namor
An invasion by the Kree or Shiar

They've gone through the most recognizable names, but they've got plenty of material better than a wife-beater who can't figure out what his superpowers are supposed to be today.

Gamora is Thanos's daughter, and Drax wants him dead, so yeah, it would tie into Avengers 2. Also, no, they aren't as well known, but that actually gives them a lot more room to do things you can't do with well established properties. For example, the Hulk is the Hulk, you can't go changing him into an emo biatch, ask Ang Lee. But Star Lord? You could play him lots of different ways and he might be different from the comics, but people wouldn't care so long as it's a good movie. And if the concept art is anything to go from, the movie is going to be very, very cool.

The best part is most of her battles are off screen, so it would be ridiculously cheap to make.

As soon as he fell off the train toward the river in Captain America (rather than being shot or something final), it seemed pretty likely he'd be back.

I posted this in the other thread, but it works here...

Zemo can be involved.

I'm thinking it'll be a mix of 40s and modern. Cap will run into Zemo while on a mission for Shield, he's confused, which gives the Winter Soldier time to swing in and attack Cap with Zemo escaping. Then flashback to the years they skipped in the first film, with Bucky and Cap fighting Zemo, who they eventually defeat. Fast forward back to the present and Cap then tracks down Zemo and WS, only to discover the Russian lab where they brainwashed Bucky. They could have Zemo also be part of the Russian program, to keep the character the same instead of going with the Zemo jr. route. Tie the whole thing to the experiments that Zola was doing on Bucky before Cap rescued him. Put it all together, throw in an older Peggy Carter and her grand daughter Sharon, and you've got a cross-generational love story, betrayal by a close friend, and a resurrected evil nemesis.

Heck I can see them losing the Russian element all together and just have Hydra responsible. They've been in hiding since WWII, but with Cap back, they unfreeze Bucky and Zemo and set them loose on the modern world.

/2 cents

Rocket Raccoon is going to be on the big screen. Squirrel Girl can't be far behind. I predict a cameo in one of the upcoming movies. Just a glimpse of a girl with a whole mess of squirrels around her, in Central Park.

They'd have some problems trying to shoe-horn Cap and Bucky fighting Baron Zemo into the movies history. There wasn't a whole lot of extra time between becoming Cap and getting Bucky 'killed'. It'd be better if one of the Red Skull's followers became Zemo trying to take over the business after the boss got taken out; what happened to the Skull's scientist sidekick in the film - I don't remember.

Hank Pym is reportedly only shown as the original Ant Man, while Scott Lang will be the Ant-Man in the film. Scott's a lot more sympathetic...and didn't beat his wife. He stole the suit, but did it to save his daughter. Nice tragic hero stuff there.

But I'd still like to see an Iron Fist movie...or Deadpool. Or Iron Fist and Deadpool. Or Ironpool...Deadfist...FistPool?

I always figured that action montage in the middle was supposed to cover over a year of fighting, I think it's even addressed in dialogue as well. They could easily shoehorn in Zemo as one of Red Skull's operatives that they battled while on the mission to shut down all the hydra bases.
