Otherwise an OK list. I think you lose your "that guy" title when you have at least one notable role for which you're always recognized for.

The whole point of "that guy" is you're known, just not for one specific thing.

I disagree - I would argue that it is for being the actor that everybody recognizes, and gets plenty of work, but nobody knows who the hell he is. Actors widely recognized for one single famous role, but who are otherwise obscure may be a bit rarer than long time character and support actors, but no reason to disqualify them automatically. Shawn Wallace, for example. - extremely well and widely known for one role, recognized by every one, but not many people know his name

But this list misses several of the quintessential "that guy" actors:

Yeah, I was surprised to see JK Simmons there. Some of the others are debatable, I suppose, but there is no way he's "that guy".

there are a whole bunch of the OZ actors on other things now (mostly law and order)... They will ALWAYS be the guys from OZ to me... I can't help but seeing them all in their most disturbing scenes, no matter what.

Yeah, there was a big Law and Order: SVU/Oz crossover as far as actors go.

Would have been great to see a real L&O:SVU/Oz crossover. Let Dr. Emil Skoda psychologically analyze Schillinger.
