Saiga410: JK Simmons will forever be Cave Johnson to me. It is rare that a voice acting bit is that perfect.

I think he mustve really enjoyed that role too, because im definitely seeing more Cave Johnson in the recent Farmers commercials.

FirstNationalBastard: Broktun: FirstNationalBastard: And apparently, this list thinks that "that guy"s didn't exist before 1980!

/Burt Mustin, biatches! He was everywhere!

Checking to see if he was in the Brady Bunch, the one were Bobby's hero was jessie james.

He sure as shiat was.

I think I saw him in the Andy Griffith Show.

Yep

The Andy Griffith Show, The Dick Van Dyke Show, Twilight Zone, Dragnet, All in the Family... he was everywhere in the 50s, 60s, and 70s. Since he was born in 1884, his TV career didn't start until he was in his late-60s.

I was born in 1968, so most of the shows I saw were syndication.

Still remember that Bobby Brady's new hero was Jessie James (maybe Billy the Kid). They were on the train and his grandfather was killed by JJ, or BtK.

There's a pool of character actors you choose from when you need any certain type, but for "sleazy guy with dubious morals who works both sides in a sci-fi show" they always seem to get Mark Sheppard.

Charles Napier was the #1 "That Guy". He was also lead singer and driver of the Winnebago.

I'm really glad William Fintchner made the list. He was outstanding on Prison Break.

Titus Welliver could play Rahm Emmanuel.

And I'll always know Bruce McGill as God, who just happens to enjoy being the bartender of a miners' saloon in 1950s Cokeburg, Pennsylvania.

WhoIsWillo: FirstNationalBastard: J. K. Simmons is a "that guy"? He's been on Law and Order! Oz! HE WAS J. JONAH. JAMESON IN THE SPIDER-MAN MOVIE SERIES THAT DIDN'T SUCK!

And yet, to a lot of people, he's "Juno's Dad" or "The Farmer's Insurance Ads Guy".

He's awesome, but he's better known for his roles than his name, and for a lot of people, he's OH! HIM!

The Farmer's Insurance cute girl is Jennifer Baxter. I think she'll be the next breakout star for her own Farmer's Insurance commercial.

The State Farm girl, Jessica, is really a State Farm agent.

Most of this list isn't really "that guy" if you've watched any movies or shows from the past 5-6 years. Seriously, some of them have major recurring character roles in some of the biggest tv shows from 2005-present. You cannot consider them a "that guy" when they are that important to the plot line of several shows over the course of just a few years.

Well, I take that back. You can consider them a "that guy" after all that. But only if your opinion is flawed.

I always wondered if the farmers marketing department had an argument as to whether they wanted a guy who among other things is known as the guy who played a gay raping neo nazi, would be the best spokesman to sell their car insurance?
