Jokes about Voyager aside, it's kind of interesting to see where some of these folks ended up.

At least none of them went insane like Avery Brooks.

Are you developing a superweapon of some kind? Or are you here to kidnap my daughter and tie her to some train tracks?

By the way, in case any of you end up wondering when I disappear from Fark forever, I'm watching Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, and Voyager. In release-date order.

Jennifer Lien, once so pretty and innocent. Her career should have been longer.

See, the great thing about being a Star Trek regular/recurring cast member is that the Star Trek producers are always glad to teach you how to be a director and they'd let you direct episodes of the show. And for the ones who took advantage of that opportunity to the fullest, like Robert Duncan McNeil and Roxane Dawson, they'll always have a career in that, even after their acting career ends.

Star Trek: Voyager was probably one of my favourite Star Trek series growing up; it was the second spin-off of The Next Generation and the one that perfected the balance between action and drama most expertly (in my opinion at least).

DS9 was the best. No question.
But Enterprise started out so well, it had such promise! That's what really hurts. I really like the show right up to the point where they started that whole "we have to save the future of earth".

You are right. ENT had SO much potential. Right out to bat they gave themselves a devistating blow: they casted Scott Backula. This searies was dead before it had a chance.

Plus, the friendship between Archer and Trip (who were supposed to be best friends) just seemed sooooo damned forced. It didnt feel organic.

I never really saw Archer's character as BFFs with any particular member of the crew. I think his character progression was designed to be transformed by the other characters, instead. Kirk had Spock (though so did McCoy), and Picard had Riker, but I liked that Archer didn't have that "right-hand man to lean on all the time.

I grew up watching TOS reruns and was a huge fan of TNG and (especially) DS9 when they aired. I still have all the DVDs. I tried to like Voyager, but I found it simply unwatchable. But I've always hated shows that are based on a Lost in Space premise.

Not even Jeri Ryan in a catsuit could save that POS.

I don't remember Joe Carey, but Voyager killed off Lon Suder (AKA Brad Dourif), who was easily the most interesting character on the entire ship.

This show keeps popping up on the Netflix streaming page, and every time I'm tempted, especially since I never saw the finale. I think I'd have to go through DS9 first though, and while it was a good show overall...let's face it, that'd be a tough road to travel. "Oh good, another Jake and Nog episode!"

The sad part about the new movie series is that history has been rebooted for that entire universe, yet Enterprise is unaffected.

Yeah, but that was so clearly telegraphed from the beginning. Berman and Taylor sucked at foreshadowing. OF COURSE Seska was going to be the traitor.

That said, Carey was the assistant chief engineer who was present in the first few seasons and then just...forgotten.

No, Voyager damaged the franchise nearly beyond repair. After 7 seasons of that, no wonder no one gave Enterprise a chance, its first 2 seasons were better than TNGs first 2 seasons and seasons 3 and 4 were even better.

So basically, Harry Kim still gets nothing even after the show? I'm a little surprised Tom's actor did as well as he did, he had a look that you figured he'd end up in camera with increasing desperation/etc, but instead, he directs and has a solid gig with it.

Depending on whether she has her original vagina, or a Borg implanted mechanical vagina, sex with Seven could be classified as just using a sex toy.

Without a doubt Robert Picardo has had the most prolific post Voyager acting career of the lot. ...

For a start there's Frasier, The Dead Zone, Justice League, Masters of Horror, Stargate SG-1, he did some background voice work in Pirates of the Caribbean 3, he was in Smallville, Stargate Atlantis, Castle, Justified, Supernatural, NTSF:SD:SUV, The Mentalist and his most recent roles include Atlas Shrugged Part 2 and Last Stop.

I always thought Roxanne Dawson was very attractive. She was actually pretty close to 40 when filming the show, considering that's a while ago she's aged very gracefully.

For some reason, reading this was somehow encouraging.....

FTFA "Although she's had some pretty interesting things happen outside of the entertainment industry as well, Jeri was married to investment banker and former Republican senatorial candidate Jack Ryan, the reason for their split and his withdrawal from the State Senate Election in Illinois was rather sordid. It turns out that her former hubby Jack was a bit of a sex pest dragging her off to sex clubs and private dungeons trying to encourage her to 'perform' in public.
