Will & Jaiden Smith's spaceship will travel back in time to 1908 on its way to Earf, causing the Tunguska explosion, thus completing the ABSO-pharkING-LUTELY STUPID-ASS SHAMALAMADINGDONG causal loop lame twist ending.

If we're lucky we'll get a cool Will Smith song out of it. Otherwise the film will probably suck.

Thunderboy: "Cypher Raige"?

Fark you, Pingpong-a-dingdong.

Apropos of nothing, I ended up having to deal with two different people in the last month whose last name actually was Cypher. I've yet to meet a 'Raige', however.

Saw the name M. Night Shyamalan and just closed the window. When you manage to achieve making movies so bad that they cause Uwe Boll to say "Oh shiat, that movies sucked balls", it really is just time to stop. He NEEDS to stop.

Wasn't like every other STTNG episode "must ..reach.. rescue... beacon" which is always placed conveniently close on a planetary scale?

I'm reminded of a Borges story considering the vastness of space. In the story there is a predicted and inevitable apocalypse in like 200 yrs. We earthlings decide to send a great ark to the nearest inhabitable planet to begin the population anew. The thing is, the planet is so far away that it will take about 500 yrs to get there. Many generations of these space pilgrims will be born, live and die enroute to the surrogate earth. Upon arrival they are shocked to have a welcoming party waiting to greet them as heroes. As it turned out, about 100 years after they left, space travel technology allowed all those left behind to zip along to the new planet in a matter of hours. They had been anticipating for centuries the old ark's arrival.

They got Harry Turtledove to do some script rewrites and the movie now takes place in 1832

Jebus, as soon as you read the summary and watch the video, you KNOW what the twist is. The guy's not even remotely trying any more.
