StranahansBarracuda: czetie: Apparently the one person who would know said Romney would suffer damage if he released the returns: Steve Schmidt, who examined the returns for the McCain campaign.

We're going to need more popcorn.

Oooooo, the thick plottens!

This is the guy that said YES to Caribou Barbie overs Mittens and every Mormon vote in the nation not to mention a "bizness man" at a time of economic collapse. The tax returns must be poison.

Ha! Iwell... Thank you. If I was a bride, sort of not possible given my penis, you could be my bridesmaid! I like the profile... I need to get around to mine someday.

Thank you and no problem, I can rock a tux ;)

Sounds good but no clip on bow ties. You need to be able to do the Tony Bennett thing 'round midnight.

Clip ons are blasphemy! As long as I can wear heels and then change to a pair of All Stars it's a done deal :)

Deal. And... Can you give me a hand tieing my bow tie? Takes me most of the day.

But of course!

I believe we have a deal. Drinks. I'm buying.

Let's just hope Obama doesn't use his supposed CIA connections (re: teleportation thread) to break into the IRS to get the returns. As hot as it would be, I don't want Dana Loesch and S.E. Cupp being the next Woodward and Bernstein.

They've gotta be horrendously offensive when viewed in this economic climate. Palin made me facepalm so hard I got a bruise. My dream ticket was Santorum/Bachmann, but I'll take Mittens going down in million dollar tainted flames just as gleefully.

Here's my read on the whole thing:

1) All the tax returns show is that Mitt Romney is insanely wealthy and that he's exploited every possible tax loophole to pay as little taxes as possible. It's not like there is evidence in them that he's committed a crime.

2) As a member of the ruling elite, Mitt finds it offensive that us little people are demanding to see his personal records. The master does not kneel to his pesants. So this is all about principal.

Watching them the past week has been great. First, they're tasked to defend Romney which even on the best of days is a chore. Probably like going to a job you hate that you also know no matter how hard you work you're never going to be promoted and ultimately will just be let go because you never stood a farking chance.

Now, they're having to defend him under these circumstances. Which, to carry on with the above analogy would be like working at your hated job with the added conditions that people everywhere can come look at you laugh at your plight and occasionally shiat on your desk.

Most will keep it up right through Election Day and some will even soldier on through Obama's second term, hoping for a better candidate in 2016. All will do so while furiously beating their cock as it if owes them money while pondering what it would be like to fark Rick Santorum.

It has just been suggested seriously that Romney was an independent contractor with no stake in the company.

He was the sole shareholder. He held all the stakes. You literally just said Mitt Romney independently contracted to himself.

I mean I know conservatives are going mental trying to deal with the fact that Mitt Romney straight up farking lied, but holy shiat.

Anyone can attend a Board of Directors meeting. As long as he wasn't voting and/or directing the actions of any employee at the company his presence at them is pretty much meaningless.

Based on everything out there, it sounds like he had a now show job after 1999, and he 1) doesn't want to admit that he got paid a ton of money to do nothing; and 2) even though the job was a no show job, it was still a job, which could jam him up with the SEC filing issue.
