Why the hell would I want to be led by someone just like me? I'm an idiot.

I'd prefer someone with intelligence, compassion, and the ability to handle tough situations without losing their sh*t.

Considering how Obama has handled being called every offensive thing you could possibly call him, a few 3am calls, and a Congress that refuses to to anything positive for the American people and he hasn't dropped a few F-bombs about it and punched anyone... I think I'll be voting not to fire him.

I mean, that's what this is, right? Has Obama done anything that would cause him to be fired? Nope. Here's another 4 years. Hope you can get more done. Good luck.

Appropriate nick you got there.

Rmoney was born rich. Oprah worked her ass off to become rich. There's a huge difference.

Romney is worth about $250 million.

Oprah is worth about $2.5 Billion.

o5iiawah: I cant say for sure if the Romney campaign should try to pull the wool over people's eyes with the man of the people routine or just come out and say that He's rich and successful and wants America to be prosperous too. There was an article that got greened the other day about how a majority of Americans think the rich deserve their money and there's some truth to it.

I think it's too late for that now. He half assed it a few times and just came off as even more out of touch. And he really doesn't have a leg to stand on with the " He's rich and successful and wants America to be prosperous too" thing since it's too late for anyone who is alive today to be conceived by millionaires.

But I don't want a President who I'd like to have a beer with. It's like for example I used to think that Hillary was a farking biatch but then Palin came around and I realized, if we're going to have a female President, who is going to deal with countries that have no respect towards women, I want a farking biatch.

So I don't mind voting for "elitists". But there's a difference between voting for someone who has more money than I who is now disconnected from the commoners and voting for a moron who's lived in a plastic bubble his whole life and spent his whole career destroying American jobs without seeing anything negative about it.

Do you honestly believe the woman who built herself up from nothing (after having been raped by a family member at age farking 9) has less empathy for the average American than a man who has been rich his entire life, never knowing any kind of hardship?

The best part is that in the right wing universe, Oprah is an 'Elitist' and Mittens is 'Just a Regular, Average Guy'.

It's quite maddening, really. Disconnects like that are why I gave up on postmodern conservatism in my early 30's.

It's not that he has money, it's that he's ALWAYS HAD MONEY. Dude is the prototypical Republican who was born on 3d base and thinks he hit a triple.

I could care less how the f*ck spends it, I care how he got it. You obviously can sleep well at night knowing you're shilling for someone who sends jobs oversees and then spins a web of lies to cover it up despite there being mounting evidence to the contrary.

Do you use Ambien or a tincture of patriot eagle tears?

o5iiawah: Mugato: You really believe that? Well if that's what Romney says he did then good luck with that.

Bain just cant walk into a company and say: "Hay guyz, we own you now. We're gonna ship yer jerbs to mexico"

Uhh... yeah, they most assuredly can - to a publicly traded company. It's called a hostile takeover, and it was the story of the 80's and a good chunk of the 90's. When the acquiring firm didn't have all the capital to swing the deal themselves, they would get a bank to cover the rest by 'leveraging' the worth of the acquired company (hence the term leveraged buyout) through a variety of ways. If the acquired company couldn't handle the new debt tossed onto it from the buyout, plus the 'management fees', plus whatever difficulties it may have already been facing (all with a slice of interest); well, it got sent to the breaking yard and sold out for scrap.

Note: I have never heard of this happening to a privately held company. This is also completely different from a managed buyout.

o5iiawah: Yes, because if recent and past history has shown, we elect presidents based on how "close to the people" they are.

Actually, a lot of people voted for Bush because he was "someone they'd like to have a beer with" and they bought his cowboy act. Clinton had an "aw shucks" thing going and played the sax on Arsenio and talked to kids on Mtv. It was a little before my time but I imagine they voted for Reagan because they saw him playing with a monkey in the movies. Carter was a peanut farmer. I can't think of a President in my lifetime who didn't have a "close to the people" side they were pushing. Even if it was all bullshiat.

Sh*t, if you believe his trope about the SEC documents, he made $300,000 for doing nothing for three years.

farkityfarker: farkityfarker: So wait, is the billionaire Oprah trying to prop up Romney's campaign in exchange for getting ratings for her failure network?

Is this what I'm reading?

Never mind, I see that her interview is for her magazine, not cable network.

Still, her insincerity is pretty sad. She loved Obama in 08 and can only give him lip service now. While she's sucking Romney's cock.

So supporting the president without actively campaigning is "only lip service"? And simply speaking to Romney is sucking his cock?

What has the world become?

Of course, Oprah was born poor in Mississippi, as a black woman. Romney was born the family with both money and power, and his bubble existence was reinforced by religious tenets that prohibit half the things normal people do.

This probably wasn't the best phraseology to use, considering the size of her ass.
