That was awesome. What would it take to get pee wee to record over the whole movie, and have it as an audio track when the DVD comes out. Or at least have it available online.

That's some funny shiat. I only hope for the inevitable film adaptation of that book for the inevitable Rifftrax that will follow.

That was one of his first high-profile gigs following the porn theater arrest. Not sure if he filmed his scenes before or after that though.

/cops lurking at a porn theater waiting to bust anybody who jerks off is ridiculous
//kids today probably saying, "WTF porn theater? like a theater that shows porn? LOL"

That was farked up, considering the stuff celebrities get away with now, beating off in a porn theater seems quaint. Yeah he did a kid's show but he wasn't jacking off to kids in the theater. The title was "Naughty Nurse" so she was obviously an adult who spent several years in school getting a degree. Whether or not she was naughty is debatable but she was definitely a nurse of some kind.

The Pee-Wee Herman Show on Broadway was awesome. HBO aired it for a while.

Don't the Rifftrax guys have celebrity guests like NPH, Joel McHale, and Weird Al? Christ how could they NOT have asked Pee Wee or Gilbert Gottfried by now?!?

I've never really understood how Pee-Wee ended up a pariah after that. Most people apparently don't understand that he got his start (the Pee-Wee Herman character, no less) in a Cheech and Chong movie. And it ain't like the original Pee-Wee Herman show was all that innocent, either. (The bit about hypnotizing a woman to take off her clothes, the mermaid bit, the thing about Jambi wanting to do something with his hands for a really long time...come on people.)

/yes, I had the original show on VHS when I was a kid
//yes, I watched it when I was a kid
///no, I didn't quite get the jokes until a viewing when I was older

I was in my early twenties, single, living in my own apartment. Waking up on a Saturday morning with a bowl and the Playhouse was the bestest thing ever.

While most of us know that Paul Reubens (Pee Wee Herman) has a brief role as Oswald Cobblepot's (The Penguin) father in "Batman Returns", how many of you know that Mrs Cobblepot was portrayed by Diane Salinger?

If her name sound familiar it's because she played Simone, the waitress from "Pee-wee's Big Adventure".

Not really, but she looks awfully mannish in that photo.

To be fair, she looked a tad masculine in "Pee Wee's Big Adventure" too.

That's pretty cool, I never knew that. Although it kind of makes sense since Tim Burton directed Batman Returns and Pee-Wee's big adventure was the first feature film he directed. Although it would have been more awesome if they got the actress who played Dottie to be the Penguin's mom (or if they wanted to go really creep get Large Marge).

And be sure to tell 'em Large Marge Sent Ya!
