I have been stung by sting rays 4 times in my life, jellyfish twice, an attempted rape by a sea lion and was stalked by a good size mako shark in all my years as a surfer/beach lover. Every one of these happened at this stretch of beach.

put up a beach sign that says 'cruise ship excursion-stingray adventure here'. when beach people ask about it say it is $99 and only for people on the cruise ship that is late. then shrug your shoulders and tell them you will let them do it for $49.

Just round up all the rays and put them in a shiatty stadium. Then you won't have to worry about people accidentally getting too close to them.

Amazing.

But this is the geek so some denizens might now know what you're talking about. Much like denizens of Tampa Bay.

I think someone pulled the wrench off your tit and applied it to your brain. If I had been stung/molested/stalked just once by any of those things, I wouldn't get withing a hundred miles of the ocean.

You know how I know that bike was designed by a man-hating harpy? There's a big metal knob strategically placed to impale your knob when you slide off the seat.

/still wish I had one, though

Nah, I love the ocean too much. I figure I'm on their turf so to speak so if they get me it's my fault. I buy the ticket I take the ride.

Eh, stingrays are super common in San Diego. I photographed some baby stingrays at the J Street Marina a few months ago. The water was super clear, and I could see several of the buggers from the pier.

Is it just me or has the water been ridiculously clear the last 4 months or so?
