drhansenej: Bronzemom: UK has rationed health care if that excellent then you have standard different the the need of the consumer in the USA.

Is this even English?

At least she used spellcheck. Not sure if this was the thread she meant to post on, though.

And in nine months there'll be a few female employees going on mat leave.

lucksi: 300k for 500 people? That is 600 bucks per person. Did he bus them to Majorca (even though that is not geographical possible)?

I'd imagine you can get some sweet deals on hotels and airfare, or just about anything for that matter, when you're buying it for 500 people at a time.

Of course US Health insurance companies just write you a blank cheque anytime you get sick, right?

It's quite funny that healthcare is a hot topic in the US and the UK. But here any politician suggesting cutting the NHS would be like a US politician suggesting banning Christianity and scrapping the US flag.

/Live in the UK, have used the NHS quite a few times and been very happy. Not sure what "rationing" you speak of.
//You can buy private health cover in the UK, and it's cheaper than the US, Not many people bother though.
///I wonder why....

FTA: About 250 employees - average age 23...

Yeah, there's gonna be shenanigans on that trip.

I work at a start-up now but I've done a few offsite corporate training gigs when I worked with larger companies right out of school, and the amount of stupid shiat a bunch of twenty-somethings can do when put in a hotel for week in a random, boring city is rather impressive.

Care to elaborate? I'm in the UK and have used the NHS all my life, please try to explain to me how it works, because I'm not aware of any 'rationing'. Unproven treatments may or may not be funded depending on the views of your local health authority, but rationing? Citation please.

You must have never been to Majorca... it's like Cancun for Europe + some nice enough beaches to attract families and older adults.

It's written between the lines.
