I used to work in small town Texas with 2 guys older than me named Dennis. They'd give each other's last names when they were young and in trouble with the cops until one had an outstanding warrant the other didn't know about. I think they learned their lesson after that.

That's not really commitment to his craft, subby. He did the crime under the false name, he did the time under the false name. If he came clean about his real name, it would've just added more charges.

Unless you get to not be prosecuted for crimes committed while using someone else's identity, seems like the smart thing to do is to not bring up the identity theft.

I live in a very small town, but even so there is a husband and wife team serving on our city council with the same names as my wife and me. We finally had to disconnect our land-line phone because so many irate townspeople kept calling us to complain about the city.

Exactly. Not talking was probably better than talking and thus confessing to a bunch of other crimes.
