dmc001: Also... my God I hate Debra. Hate hate HATE her. Every time she over-reacts to something (about 5 times a show), or her voice quivers, or the writers make her out to be some kind of super-cop after constantly showing she's as dumb as a bag of wet hair,

HEAR HEAR!!! Christ man! You are so right about that annoying biatch I have to give you a month of TF!!

BeatrixK: I'm torn. I love Michael C. Hall so very much. Season 4 was too good, and difficult to top. But last season just felt like series salad: Colin Hanks was cataclymically misdirected. (They apparently didn't reveal to him the most obvious plot point about Olmos while filming) the whole Deb Crush thing was WTF? The freaky intern guy has possibilities, and I hope they still carry it over...but the season just felt so pointless, and Dex got seriously sloppy.

I say the same thing about Michael C. Hall that I used to say about Tom Baker. No matter how godawful the script was, no matter how completely crappy the entire season had been, you tune in to see the acting performance.

/Hall, Krause, and Griffiths rescued some pretty godawful scripts in Six Feet Under

Thought the show started of really well but then it just became repetitive and predictable.

Bathia_Mapes: The_Time_Master: Dexter farks his sister, and is caught in the act by Doakes?

Doakes got killed (explosion) by Lila during season 2's finale. I don't think he can pull it together to maka a return visit.

He's lucky he died like that as opposed to how farked up he got in the book

Jesus this show is awful. It started as pulp, like, bad B movie territory, and has just gotten worse and worse. the writing is awful. They just leave things behind. I for whatever reason am a completist. Once I start something I have to see it through, but good lord this show makes it hard. What, Edward James Olmos was a ghost? Man, that didn't take 1 episode to figure out. What, we just remembered that Deb knew that the ice truck killer was her brothers brother? Oh, we'll mention that 2 seasons later with a throwoff line about it. What, we only can write 3 characters, so every year we'll have a new cop who doesn't trust dexter?

The question I ask everyone... Do you think the writers of Dexter want you to think that his sister is a supercop, or a dumbass? Here's the thing. I think they want you to think of her as a supercop, with some inborn natural instinct, being a cop is the one thing she's good at even when the rest of her life is a mess. The problem is, they don't know how to write her, so she's constantly led around by the nose by her brother, and dumb lucks into every good thing she does as a cop, and they write her as the damsel in distress WAY too much for me to take her seriously as supercop.
