HotWingConspiracy: This is obviously terrible, but there is nothing to indicate that adults were the people sending these messages. Some of the online conversations I had at 13 when AOL was the only game in town would get me thrown in jail today.

I seem to remember some article a year or so ago....
A 18/19 year old female voluteer for a 'to catch a predator' style operation was chatting with some guy, made it clear to him that she was underage, and they arranged to meet. However, when the police showed up, it turned out that the 30-something man she was supposed to meet was actually a 14 year old boy - leaving the cops to try to figure out whether to charge the volunteer for soliticing a minor.

I suddenly want to set up a fake facebook account and pretend to try to hook up with my 14 year old daughter (with her knowing what is going on), just to see what happens...
