Curse of the Goth Kids: dickfreckle: The whole column is patently retarded.

Click enough of these links and you'll soon realize that the retarded goes in before the [img0.fark.net image 77x27] logo goes on. That tag is the politics tab's own special version of the Florida tag.

What about 'The Daily Caller' or 'Townhall' or 'The Blaze' or 'The New York Post' or 'The Drudge Report' or 'WorldNetDaily' or 'American Spectator' or 'The National Review' or 'Twitchy'?

Mikey1969: FTA:
Obama has contributed his own pearls to the genre, like "The private economy is doing fine" when unemployment is at 8.2%, about 7% of American workers are underemployed, and another big chunk are on permanent disability, making for about 20% of the work force not working.

A: "Underemployed" is still "working.

B: "Permanent Disability" has nothing to do with the job market. Otherwise, when we had 5-6% unemployment before Bush farked the Golden Retriever, it would have meant that our only unemployed were those on permanent disability.

Stupid dipshiat. We should be able to sue this blog for false advertising, since they have "thinker" in their name. No thinking going on there, I can guarantee you.

I read a bumper sticker on a car on the way to work this morning. "Republicans 2012: Keeping millions out of work to put one man out of a job"

I really think they believe that's how it should work.

That is just what the democrats want you to believe.

EvilRacistNaziFascist: dr_blasto: He stays nicely fair and balanced at the end with this gem: "Yes, we have nutty conservatives and moderately sane libs. But on the whole, conservatism equals realism, which equals sanity." Yes, Mr. Lewis, the "0bummer is a soshulist" group are into realism and sanity.

Good Lord, yes. Why would anyone say that Obama was a socialist (note my excellent spelling, BTW) just because (among other things) he belonged to the socialist New Party, associated with hard-core left-wing revolutionaries and ex-terrorists, and spent twenty years attending a church where the pastor regularly attacked whites, Jews, and the U.S. as a whole? Silly conservatives and their HateFacts.

I am not contending that Obama is permitted to be as socialist as he would like, but given that he has added more to the U.S. national debt than all of the preceding presidents combined, I think it's fair to say that his economic policies are just about as left- wing as they could possibly be under the circumstances. His beliefs and his actions actually align very well with those of Canadian and European politicians who indeed have no compunction about identifying themselves as socialist. The only reason this obviously solid leftie ideologue is being passed off by his supporters as a "moderate" is because they are attempting to marginalize his opponents as being the real extremists. Luckily, this transparent bullsh*t will not prevent Obama from turfed out on his backside come November (barring large- scale voter fraud and intimidation, of course).

Mike_LowELL: Look at the reaction to this article. Hilarious. This is how come any conservative can take on any liberal in a fist fight. I'm at the gym right now, learning how to fight. Meanwhile, you're all on the internet, whining and crying about what someone else said. This is why I hate liberals. A conservative just wants to share his opinion with the world and liberals combine their voice in order to shout him down. So much for free speech. I can't wait when Romney gets into the White House and bans liberals from expression their opinion on the internet.

It's not just the utter babble that made TFA unreadable, it was the constant line breaks, lack of any sort of consistent spacing, and mutant wall of text syndrome.

Mike_LowELL: Liberals do this because they do not have ideas, only dictionaries and thesauruses. This way, when confronted by superior conservative ideology, they will ignore the error of their ways and attack the errors of my spelling.

It's always amusing to hear this rejoinder from those obsessed with Christian fundamentalists, militias, "rednecks", racists, Islamophobes, homophobes, sexists, transphobes and many other kinds of present- day heretic.

People on the Left really only have two arguments against those who disagree with them: you're stupid and/or you're crazy. That's about it.

Well, there's also that whole "RWers are demonstrably wrong by any metric you'd care to name about practically everything" thing too.

Half their ideas are retreads that are proven failures and the rest involve oppressing gays, women, Muslims, atheists, scientists, the poor and middle classes while serving the agenda of 1%.

Quite simply there isn't a single decent reason left to vote for a Republican in 2012.

If you are a Republican in 2012 you are a bad person and you should feel bad.

Face it. You got less than nothing.

/Reality has a liberal bias.

For the record, i'm an independent. Having said that, I see your point but if the right is so obviously wrong about everything how come it is always a struggle for the left to do anything? Surely, if the right has done nothing but failed time and time again it should be easy to crush them at every turn no?

They've been campaigning on fear. Think back as far as you can remember in your life. Start a list of what you feel are genuine positive accomplishments of the right wing of the US. Try to come up with detailed items.

Now, make a list of genuine positive accomplishments by the US. Same thing, find some details. Think of little items that are potentially important to you. Don't worry about attribution to left or right, forget about that for now.

Compare the lists. Now look at what you've attributed to the right wing. How many of those items are part of the existing right wing parties? How many were sponsored by someone that would fit in with the right wing today?

Look now at the language the right uses. The constant bleating of "freedom is dead" or "the country is lost" or "second amendment solutions if they don't vote the way I want" nonsense coming from right wing leadership. If you scare the weak-willed enough or create a more apathetic populace, you'll get elected. No one questions lies presented as fact from politicians, so all the flat-out lies told just hang in the air, unchallenged.

OK, so you believe our center-right governing president would fit in better with the European Socialist community? That's what you're going with? What "left-wing" economic policy has Obama presented? Perhaps the "Obamacare?" Can you explain what about the PPACA is actually left-wing? Let's set some metrics here and define where you think the division of left and right actually sits, what is center and where extremism lives on either the left or right borders.

Also, you're setting the stage with your last statement that if Obama wins, it will only be due to large-scale voter fraud/intimidation, basically arguing that Romney's got this in the bag. For what it's worth, I find that to be as out there as can be. But aside from that, what does Romney offer as an improvement? What conservative ideals has Romney actually upheld when in office? What, out of all positions he says he carries, do you believe he will actually do?

A conservative corporate media maintains a false equivalency narrative that is preventing the public from being fully informed on the issues. Gerymandered districts, Blue dog Dems-In-Name-Only, largely uncontested races, a propensity for favoring incumbents due to rules regarding seniority, too much corporate money in the campaign process and a bunch of other things are factors here to varying degrees but it really boils down to a massively misinformed, disinformed, propagandized, fear-mongered voting populace being played like chumps on a daily basis.

The author of the article should have added "Not intended to be a factual statement" at the end of it.

Seriously, some bozo cherry picks a bunch of nonsense and, in typical rightie fashion, purports that his cute little phrases are reflective of the part and parcel of all left wing thinking. I run into this shiat all the time with conservatives; they take the droolings of one or two whack jobs, jump up and down and point their finger saying "See....see how you libs are!"

Yet, when you start pointing out the sick ones within the Conservative camp, such as the Sovereign Citizen idiots, the militia dopes, the "SEEKRIT MUSLIN" WND/Breitbart loons, the blatant racism on the signs at the Tea Party rallies, the "BIRFERS", and the they shut right the hell up.

Liberals, unlike Conservatives, will disown the diseased members of their tribe. Conservatives will NEVER, EVER say one bad word about their sickos because they've had Reagan's Commandment about "never speaking ill of fellow Republicans" drilled into their heads. Not only do they refuse to refute them, they actually make excuses and do the most idiotic verbal and intellectual back flips to not only defend them but to prove that the reason these right wing tards are like they are is because it's the DEMOKKRAT'S FAULT!

Right Wingistan continues to be the place where intelligence goes to die.
