He was booed only once - when he uttered the words, "In closing ..."

Really, they got upset that he was bringing the speech to a close. He knocked that one out of the park.

Romney's VP search just got a lot harder.

Seriously. Who wants to run up against Biden in the debates?

I love Biden, he doesn't give a fark about anything and will say whatever crosses his mind. Most politicians are so farking calculated it's disgusting.

Say what you want about Biden but when he talks from the heart, the man can give a good speech.

Whitey, we might have a place in Obama's America after all.

That's how you do it people:

You make a speech where you actually come off caring about the people you want to vote for you.

Not the "I'm a gonna repeal that Obamacare, FACE!" crap like Romney tried to pull there.

You know how awesome Biden is? Just by speaking his mind, and speaking from the heart, he got a sitting President to come out on favor of gay marriage.

That's really freakin' cool when you think about it.

Holy shiat! Is this true that Bork has been advising Romney? Or just a hypothetical from Biden?

Considering Romney actually can't repeal the ACA, I'd say he was not being honest.

If Romney were being "honest," he wouldn't have pretended to be so nice to those people.

Nice to see you're carrying water for him, though.

There are a lot of folks that Obama could have picked for his VP. He got the assist from Biden in showing that his judgment was sound. Not a yes man, not a guy who just parrots back, but it shows what he looks for in those closest to him.

Romney has a lot of thinking to do about who he puts in the VP slot, and it will do very much the same: it will define what he is looking for in those closest to him.

Romney is in deep trouble on this front, and Biden is not just a footsoldier for Obama's campaign, he is very much an example that Mitt has to either counter or follow, and right now, the field is whisper thin for those who want to be that exemplar for his Administration.

His reaction to the Onion spoofs was great. I can't help but think that most other politicians take them selves too seriously to be that cool about it.

Joe Biden: Onion spoof is 'hilarious'
"I saw the one of me washing a Trans-Am automobile in the driveway shirtless with tattoos all over myself," Biden said, adding: "By the way, I have a Corvette -- a '67 Corvette -- not a Trans-Am."

"Hinting?" No. His actions belie nothing but contempt for the poor in this country, and that does include many people of color, so yeah. There you go again. I think he wants another drink.

Or maybe he was being civil and polite to a group that largely disagrees with him.

He had no business being there. His speech was basically a slap in the NAACP's face. He also flew in his own supporters.

The man is a piece of sh*t, quit embarrassing yourself by defending his actions.

I keep telling my mom, with whom I have regular political discussions, that Joe Biden is probably one of the best VP choices ever, for exactly one reason: He speaks his mind and heart. I think he'd have made a good president, but I like him better as VP.

Once Romney gets his VP pick, the popcorn is going to flow, and the rules will need posting for the drinking game. I'm getting a second liver installed for that.

Hopefully Romney picks at least a semi-competent VP so that Biden doesn't have to be restrained at the debate. There was so much more he wanted to say during the Palin debate, but he didn't want to risk coming across as too vicious.

I watched all 30 minutes and 30 seconds and even I wanted it to go on a little longer.

Best part is that they've lowered the expectation bar for Joe due to the "gaffe machine" media meme and because he treated Sister Sarah with kid gloves back in the 2008 debate.

Ergo when he gets to debate here in 2012 he will not hold back and I predict much epicness no matter which farkwit Rep they get to fill the veep nom spot.

I don't have to use Google. It isn't on me to prove (or disprove) your ridiculous claims.

And no, I'm not impressed by some stupid blog post, and your other "citation" doesn't back up your point that the "RIAA/MPAA pays him " to do jack sh*t.

Now clean the flecks of foam off your monitor.

I don't know if he'd go full-tilt against Bachmann. She seems cut from the same cloth as Palin. What I'd like to see is a debate between Biden and Condoleeza Rice on foreign policy. That would have epic potential.

You're welcome to continue denying that his attitude about repealing Obamacare isn't a slap in the face to people of color. I mean, where do you get off spinning it any other way?

"Piece of shiat"? Wow, somebody is cranky this morning.

The gloves are off over Romney. He is a morally bankrupt piece of crap.

I really do not understand his appeal to you, or anyone.

He wants to be the first President of the Super-Rich, and I find it offensive.

2012-07-13 12:17:14 PM
Biden was a great VP choice. Nobody wants him to actually be President, so he's great assassination insurance, but he could do the job if needed. He's not afraid to be an attack dog when needed, and his comments take the heat away from Obama. He's loyal to the President and a trusted advisor.

I'm pretty sure I've never seen Romney be "honest and open" about anything.

But, I do know that he likes everything that I like, after I tell him that I like it.

How is it a slap in the face? Because Romney has a policy disagreement with the current president, who happens to be black?

So if I tell my black coworkers that I would like to see "Obamacare" repealed, I guess that's a slap in the face to them as well, right?

Oh....and this law isn't something that only affects people of color.....whether it's good or bad, it affects all Americans, so please stop trying to play the race card.

Remember what I said earlier about "denial" and "you?"

You aren't disappointing.

Again, Romney's actions speak his intentions. He does not give a crap about the poor or anyone of color.

He should have just come out and said it at the NAACP. THAT would have been honesty.
