No, the guy filming was so he he used a spring-wound Bolex and an Edison phonograph to record the whole thing. The descriptions were written using a manual typewriter.

Good lord, i couldn't hear the vocals due to the twatwaffles screaming in the crowd, and the retarded guy who was running the sound mixer. Nice levels there dude.

she's kind of frumpy and a bit of a sad sack, but damned if I don't want to have sex with her.

Frumpy? I do not think it means what you think it means.

I had the feeling the sound going in and out was part of the whole "Vintage" effect applied to the video. Can we just make it a rule that we ban these effects right now before it gets worse. I mean really. "Look I shot some crappy video on my cell phone then added a vintage film effect thereby making it totally awesome and not at all annoying to watch."

*watches dutifully*

That may be the case, Kristen Wiig, but rock 'n roll does not love you.

My money is on the phone holder putting their thumb over the microphone opening. I'm not a betting man and I'd still put money on that.

Still, this is better than almost every fan-in-the-crowd video I've ever seen.

Remember the days when you went to a show and enjoyed the experience, instead of holding your phone in the air like a dickhead?

She's a two-face. Half of the time she looks great; the other half she looks like Marshalls exploded.

I was thinking about this the other day. I've watched this transition as an adult. My first concert there moments where the lighters came out. Classic. Later, little cell phone screens replaced the lighters, still cool, everyone had flip phones and they weren't burning themselves. But now...I was at a concert where I had a really good view of the people on the floor and I swear more than 50% of them were just staring at their screens. I couldn't believe how many screens I could see from my viewpoint. Hey people. Real life is high def and you don't have to squint. Try it out.

Like the fist of mildly irritated lesser demi-being.

I find her attractive but can't tell you why.

Seriously, I can't; there's a court order.

as if SNL didn't suck enough, with the 3 cast members that left the show, it'll achieve a whole new level of suck

That was offensive on so many levels.

I get what you're saying.

I'd say it in a different way though: "She's the girl next door, who is totally cute, and she would be fun to hang out with and bang."

The sound was fine. That guys phone sucks. The weird thing was there were no stage lights at all. The whole thing was backlit by Promethius.

But at around 4am Mick Jagger jumped on stage and sang Miss You. And the Foo Fighters played Schools Out and some Steve Miller tunes which was awesome.

I would post the video but aparently only douchebags do that.

Brian Worthen is a fine engineer. Who do you tour with? Are you actually just another Fark-brand know-nothing know-it-all?

T.M.S.: The sound was fine. That guys phone sucks.

Also, said guy and his phone were not really in an optimal position for capturing an ambient recording of this performance.

Probably. He was too close. My phone picked up the sound just fine tho. Further back and center.
