It also needs to include the Glick boys.

Gah, Danny Glick and the rest of the Salem's Lot night nightmares ... shivers.

This show. Every episode.

There was nothing scarier than Robert Stack narrating stories about brutal murders, unexplained phenomena and strange disappearances. "The killer is still at large. He may be anywhere in America. He may be in your home town at this very moment. Maybe even outside your window. What was that noise just now? Maybe you should go outside and check it out."

Even the theme song was creepier than half the things on this list.

Walker: Hmmmmm seems to be a very UK-centric list. I've never even heard of half the characters. And a boy on the show "Grange Hill" is scarier than Death?

How can you be scared of this? All he wants in a nice curry and some peace and quiet.

That and to reap Rincewind, and really can you blame him for that??

Salems Lot was the first thing I thought of, as well. Barlow left a very distinct impression on my 8 year old self when that aired. A few years later on rebroadcast, my buddy that I was watching it with threw up.

I am old old old, and the abominable snowman on Rudolph did, in fact, scare me when I was little. As did the Grinch. As did Cruella de Ville, who was scarier than Malificent. I also remember a show where Huck Finn was live action mixed with animation and in each episode the guy who played Lurch showed up as some form of Engine Joe. He scared me.

I was a weenie little kid in the 60s.
