nmiguy: Evil from Time Bandits was quite horrifying to me.[i.ytimg.com image 480x360]

The_Sponge: gunga galunga: I took the tunnnel of horrors scene in strideSame here. Even as a little kid, I knew that Wonka was just messing around with them.
improvius: [johnkennethmuir.files.wordpress.com image 640x447]The worst part was probably the horrifying, screaming wail it made.Oh, and the smoking, dessicated bodies it spat out.

I Like Bread: [img.photobucket.com image 320x240]This show. Every episode. There was nothing scarier than Robert Stack narrating stories about brutal murders, unexplained phenomena and strange disappearances. "The killer is still at large. He may be anywhere in America. He may be in your home town at this very moment. Maybe even outside your window. What was that noise just now? Maybe you should go outside and check it out."Even the theme song was creepier than half the things on this list.
genepool lifeboat: As a child I saw the Exorcist.
Scaevola: Grew up in the seventies. The list fails without Phyllis Diller guest starring on the Love Boat and Roddy McDowell as Satan on Fantasy Island.
gunga galunga: Exactly. He's an eccentric who thought the group would enjoy a little thrill ride. But to this day, I still can't decide if he is really that furious at Charlie, or is he just hamming it up to see if that would drive Charlie to sell the Everlasting Gobstopper to Slugworth. I'm sure that Gene Wilder played it so that it could be read either way.
Evil Mackerel: The growing eyes from "Amityville Horror" bothered me. The list is silly.
StoPPeRmobile: Raug the Dwarf: I remember almost every one of those. Thanks for the nightmares, jerks. When I was a kid, I made the mistake of watching the Twilight Zone movie. Two things scared the hell out of me....[2.bp.blogspot.com image 400x223]and...[2.bp.blogspot.com image 369x450]To be honest, that Gremlin still kinda creeps me out.[4.bp.blogspot.com image 384x288]
under a mountain: This guy was a dick too.[www.unmuseum.org image 320x240]
DaCaptain19: [www.straland.com image 349x260]Oh, I'm sorry! I thought the list was most fappable character from childhood!
minoridiot: I thought that Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka was scary, particularly when he started his yelling.
Bag of Hammers: OK then, all I have to add are these guys:
Dr. Whoof: Here's an addition for the list:[1.bp.blogspot.com image 400x300]This or the astronaut ghost. Scooby Doo, nightmare fuel for children age 4-10.
otherginger: I am old old old, and the abominable snowman on Rudolph did, in fact, scare me when I was little. As did the Grinch. As did Cruella de Ville, who was scarier than Malificent. I also remember a show where Huck Finn was live action mixed with animation and in each episode the guy who played Lurch showed up as some form of Engine Joe. He scared me.I was a weenie little kid in the 60s.
GungFu: The whole thing was weird and unsettling.
PacManDreaming: Sorry, but that list fails without Mr. Barlow. It also needs to include the Glick boys.
Rottweiler8: [www.herogohome.com image 640x272]This robot scene from Superman III scared me to no end.
jsc010: [i.imgur.com image 640x273]Scared the crap out of me as a kid... and this is a Disney film!
AngryJailhouseFistfark: Godscrack: The The Chitty Chitty Bang Bang dude reminded me of a cross between Alice Cooper and the wicked witch from the Wizard Of Oz.That would be the Child Catcher, and yes, this list is lame without him. Growing up the the US in the 70's, most of the characters in this list are unknown to me or not so scary when I saw themThey fail without the flying monkeys from the Wizard of Oz.
