robsul82: Gunny Highway: We have jumped the Shark Boy

Yeah, maybe. I just know for me it's not about being contrarian or anything like that, it's just being realistic.

I totally understand. I haven't seen this weeks show but it sounds like a bit of a let down. Haven't lost faith yet. This may have just been a set up show

I feel really shiatty that I'm pretty convinced this is going to be a group sent by Bischoff to get control of the company back, but unfortunately that's what I'm going with.

Same thing I thought of, but a rehash of something worse.

verbaltoxin: Gunny Highway: This is the conversation that goes on on every wrestling website. fWc meet IWC

Between this and the [redacted] drama, FWC has been a lot less fun as of late.

From what I've seen the last couple months of reading these threads, you people had been talking about anything but wrestling. Trying to join in on one of these threads was like coming in on season 5 of Mad Men and trying to understand everything by watching that first episode of the season.

Maybe the wrestling threads needed a good, continuity reboot/jumping on point for the lurkers to come out of the woodwork to talk about WRESTLING!

But enough about pointless bullshiat...

I can see Hulk and Sting vs. the Dead Man's Hand leading to something... but how long are they going to fark the AJ/Crackwhore chicken? Will we get a Maury ending out of it? A Miscarriage angle (which will go over great if they bring Kharma... er... Kong back)?

How can you go any further after the match they had at Destination X?

Please, TNA. Abandon the last of the Russo shiat. It can only help you.

I talked about nothing BUT wrestling.

I am suggesting that TNA has been better this month then the WWE by FAR.

I am suggesting that neither qualify as "good".

Anone can like what they want. Point/couonterpoint when it comes to discussing the quality of these shows lately.

Oh, and from the sheets...

The former Bella Twins, Nicole and Brianna, are starring in a motivational workout video. The item is available for pre-order and will be available for download on or around August 20.

So... thinly disguised stroke video for marks, eh? Wonder if they'll start doing jerk off instruction, too?

Will that be $7 too?

Ryder vs. Christian from ECW, 2009

Ryder (with Huge Ackman) vs. Ziggler from RAW, 2011

Ryder and Cena vs. Miz and R-Truth, RAW, 2011

Ryder vs. Cena, RAW 2011

Ryder and Orton vs. Ziggler and Wade Barrett, Smackdown 2011

Ryder vs. Ziggler for the US Title, TLC, 2011

It's part of the Superstar collection of cheap DVDs with matches only. Cena has one, too, that came out yesterday.

Next month, IIRC, is Sheamus and Daniel Bryan.

7 bucks for an hour and a half of matches doesn't seem too bad, IMO.

verbaltoxin: How about you guys remember it's just pro wrestling? TNA is more fun to watch than WWE. Yeah you can go, "Hur, derp, recap/promo," but you know what? All the TNA promos were better than anything I've seen on WWE in months. Why? They entertained me. They made me want to see what happens next. They didn't make me wonder why I was watching this sh*t in the first place. God damn, chill the f*ck out.

TNA's done something the WWE's not been able to do since last year's MITB: intrigue me.

If I had to grade them: TNA would get a "C." Not terrible, not a "HOLY CRAP THIS IS AWESOME!" show, but definitely interesting. They still could do more to clean up a lot of the crap that's still floating on the surface.

The WWE? An "F." If Raw's your most important property and it's your "go home" show prior to the PPV, you should be able to get me to say "I want to watch the PPV on Sunday." Congrats WWE, you failed in that endeavor. It's made worse by how the last Raw shows prior to last year's MITB were received; it's a complete 180 from last year.

Tweak TNA to a C- (for what I saw last night) and I agree with the rest. WWE failed so bad on Monday. I'll still watch the PPV. But I watch most all PPVs now anyway. Not because it looks awesome.

I have no clue how I have never seen this or similar antics. I laughed my ass off. Chuck Taylor blows up Soldier Ant with his slow motion grenade.

No one in for Smackdown?

Well, it's probably for the best. I know Ryder is GM tonight, but I fully expect them to shiat all over that.

One "goofball" from Cole and I immediately muted the show.

YouTube searches usually turn up wonderful things all day Friday, so I don't usually watch SD! at the scheduled time.

I've kinda always been less enthused about taped shows, whether I've read the spoilers or not. I guess it's just the lack of potential unscripted "holy shiat" moments/farkups.

Nah, no Smackdown. I got drunk and watched stuff on Netflix instead.

You're right though, ElectricPeterTork, and your Monkee friends are right too. There's been way too much talk of crap not related to wrestling here. I will do my best to focus on what matters in these threads. Once I'm sober that is.

So tomorrow is the PPV. Since MITB matches tend to always be good (except the WWE one may break that trend), really the only nonexciting match is Limes-River. Mind you, we'll get two stinker matches as a bonus.

I'm hopeful for it but will probably be late to the thread. Someone should make a point system game to make everyone feel better.
