I'd go with do they still think this is entertainment.

Seriously, it's a bunch of boorish, misogynistic, jingoistic loudmouths prancing around in speedos. What is the appeal in that? (unless you're gay or a self-hating female, I suppose)

Also, whoever posts Shooting Star Staple Super Press for post no. 150 will win the Global Legendary Television Championship (of the World), currently held by Tragicallyhip!

If it's missed or botched, Tragicallyhip retains the title!

The Run-down:

3 hrs tonight, starting at 7 pm ET.

1st hour is a recap special called "Rewind."

Expect an Austin Aries promo and a Bobby Roode reax. They'll probably invoke the rematch clause.

Zema Ion will probably cut a promo too. Or break someone's neck trying.

Mr. Anderson vs Kurt Angle in the BFG series.

Tess defends against Gail Kim.

Joseph Park vs Bully Ray

No mention on EY. So probably no EY tonight.

Also no TV title match was announced either, so if it doesn't happen that means we're still mid-week in the TNA time contiuum, as the TV title is defended once a week, per Hulk Hogan.

Ah, but the correct answer is "I do not watch Television. I call it "television", not "TV", because TV is a nickname, and nicknames are for friends, and television is no friend of mine."

As for Impact... after the AJ/Daniels match the other night, surely that was the final word on the crackwhore angle. There's nowhere else to go after that.

Daniels apparently said on Twitter that this was just the start of the angle, which to me 1) sucks because the angle sucks and 2) as you said, the LMS match and especially its ending, there's really nowhere to go after that. Dude got Styles Clashed off the ramp through a table. So Daniels comes back and busts him open in some kind of way, okay. Then what does Styles do that's worse than a Styles Clash off the ramp through a table without getting into Austin/Triple H cardropping nonsense? So yeah. Let it gooooooo.

Well for TNA it may be justified. They only average about a 0.9-1.0 and a recap segment might not hurt this time. I just hope it's not a regular thing.

The male teen demographic is why WWE sucks...

In the segment breakdown, the opener with AJ Lee, CM Punk and Daniel Bryan with Sheamus vs. Jack Swagger lost 74,000 viewers. Christian and Tyson Kidd vs. Tensai and Dolph Ziggler plus the Michael Cole vs. Jerry Lawler angle lost 416,000 viewers. Brodus Clay vs. Drew McIntyre plus the Stephanie McMahon video promoting the 1,000th RAW gained 102,000 viewers.

Kane and John Cena vs. Chris Jericho and Big Show gained 66,000 viewers, a low gain for that time period in the show. The match did about a gain of 280,000 at 10pm, which is lower than usual, but then lost those viewers when the match went longer and through a second commercial break.

Sin Cara vs. Heath Slater and the return of Bob Backlund lost 21,000 viewers. Lawler vs. Cole and the reveal of Hornswoggle as the Anonymous General Manager lost another 21,000 viewers.

It appears AJ's tease from earlier that she would be leaving with her future husband did the trick as far as the rating goes. The overrun following AJ and Punk vs. Daniel Bryan and Eve Torres gained 711,000 viewers - which is normal but it should be noted that this was done without John Cena in the segment and with CM Punk and Daniel Bryan, who have never moved ratings big.

There was a huge increase in Male Teens watching the overrun that wasn't there for the rest of the show. Male Teens hovered between a 2.7 and 3.2 rating for the entire show but jumped up to a 4.4 rating for the overrun.

It appears it's the wedding gimmick that helped ratings since AJ, Punk nor Bryan made ratings jump in the Male Teens demographic during their opening interview segment or during any other week in this storyline.

Hopefully, when the little farkers are back in school in a month or so, ratings levels will drop to where they belong... the basement.

Assuming this is true (and I'm not informed enough to stipulate it is), yeah, most employers don't look kindly to such misrepresentations of fact.

If I asked for a bunch of time off to take care of a child I didn't have, my boss would be pretty pissed, too.

After the crap they got for firing Dawn Marie after she got pregnant, they were likely walking on eggshells with regards to a new hire's insta-pregnancy. The fact that she either miscarried or had a stillbirth and then tried to cover it up really wouldn't sit well with them either.

Well, she was pregnant. She reportedly had the miscarriage/stillbirth around New Year's. And she was back by the Rumble in late January for a one shot deal. And, IIRC, the news of what really happened was out by February or March, which would have still been inside the window of a woman taking time off to get back into shape after giving birth.

So, while she may have lied, she would have still been on maternity leave.

As has been said, they're probably more pissed she got pregnant and had to take time off in the first place. Remember... Vince hates it when his slaves dare to take unapproved time off. From Mark Henry getting jobbed out for daring to be injured to Ricky Steamboat losing the IC belt to the Honky Tonk Man for daring to ask for time off to spend with his wife while their son was being born, Vince has a history of treating people like shiat for having lives.

And hillbillies want to be called "sons of the soil", but that ain't happening, either.

They're employees. Independent Contractor status is just a dodge so Vince doesn't HAVE to pay any of this stuff. But, he owns them, lock, stock, and barrel.
