Mugato: Christ, a Fantastic Four reboot movie? Really?

It's less of a reboot and more of an apology.

I'm guessing that like the Superman and Spiderman reboots it's all about keeping the rights from reverting?

/The Venture Bros Fantastic Four episode was far better than and F4 movie will ever be.

scottydoesntknow: So is Fox's FF franchise in the same boat as the Sony's Spider-Man franchise? They have to crank out a movie every X number of years or else you lose the rights to the characters?

If that's the case why do they spend $100 mil to do it? Crap out a DtV release, and save the big bucks for when you can do it right. Oh wait, Hollywood.

We're now on a five year cycle from the last film in the previous series to the reboot. If my calculations are correct, we could see the reboot happening concurrent with the film being rebooted within our lifetimes.

Damn you Richards with your science!
