It's a richly-layered comedy that didn't require a laugh track and rewarded you for paying attention.

I was going to set up an Arrested Development Fark fan club, but I'm afraid I prematurely shot my wad on what was supposed to be a dry run, if you will, so now I'm afraid I have something of a mess on my hands.

You buy yourself a tape recorder, you just record yourself for a whole day. I think you're gonna be surprised at some of your phrasing.

I'll be watching it, but I heard it's mostly all of them separately. The show is the best when they interact with each other, so I'm not holding my breath that this will be all that great.

That was the original idea, like, a year ago. They're only just now writing, so I doubt that will remain unchanged.

BalugaJoe: What is the big deal about this show?

It's a surprisingly funny show built on a misleading premise.

The main character gets a serial killer pregnant, who then gets the chair. He's left to raise the baby with his very low-income family and some eccentric friends.

It makes you think it's going to be a show about some dopey kid but it turns out to be an examination of how weird we all are.

I recommend it.

This seems to be an evaluation of "Raising Hope". Is that still on? I never quite got into it, although I liked what I did see.

I think each of the "separate" episodes is more that each one will focus on one particular character to update us on what's happened in their lives since we last saw them. I doubt there will be no interconnection. Kind of like a Jack-centric or Kate-centric episode of L O S T.

Then the movie will bring them all together with no character-centricity.

That's my hope.
