That is just...weird. But for the most part, I'm still in the "who cares about several decades ago" camp. If we are going to do that, then we need to do it for both. College transcripts, kindergarten teacher's affidavit that they were in attendance for enough days to graduate to first grade, blood test to prove neither has high cholesterol, put them through the Wunderlic Test and time their 40, and I'm definitely going to need to see which one can eat 50 eggs.

Browsing around for more on this story, I ran into this blogger patriot bit asking if Romney's youthful indiscretions are as bad the things Obama did as a kid:

Obama, by all accounts, was a habitual drug user in high school. He tried cocaine, he admits in Dreams From My Father; he "tried drugs enthusiastically." The Chicago Tribune reported back in 2007 that Obama thanked the "Choom Gang" in his high school yearbook; "chooming" was Hawaiian slang for smoking pot. The Honolulu Advertiser reported that Obama's senior portrait "prominently displayed . . . a package of 'Zig-Zag' rolling papers and a matchbook." . . .
In his memoir, Obama talked about routinely getting high. "Junkie. Pothead," he wrote. "That's where I'd been headed: the final, fatal role of the young would-be black man."

The rest of the article is basically, "Romney may have done these horrible things, but Obama tried cocaine. Who do you want leading this country?"
I hate to break it to you idiots, but everyone in this and any other country where kids have a spare $20 has tried all manner of drugs. 95% of us grow up to be normal adults who no longer use or only do it casually. It's simply not the same sort of scandal as it was in 1992. And it's clearly not in the same league as holding someone down and shaving his ass, impersonating a cop, or that whole dog crate idiocy.

/I've done more drugs than any of you, and I'm a pretty farking nice guy with a job and everything.

Haven't any of you known a young Mormon away from home the first time? Whether to school or mission, if shaving and cop impersonating are all that get out Mitt should be pleased. I'm not saying a large portion use drugs and alcohol and try gay sex, the statistics say that.
