I never understood how Geordi was able to see on Reading Rainbow.

Hey they gave him a whole episode to nail a hologram white girl. What more do you want, son?

Because People in power are Stupid: I never understood how Geordi was able to see on Reading Rainbow.

That timeline was after he had his eyes fixed.

Well, I didn't see that one coming

Dude, you got more episodes as the main character than farking Michael Dorn.

Worf got Troi (Marina Sirtis) and two Daxes (Terry Farrell and Nicole de Boer) in their primes, a fair trade in many nerd books.

The Worf episodes were pretty lame. Except for the episodes where they went to the Klingon home world.

Geordi episodes were always good, and I too wish that there were more of them.

All Counselor Troi episodes sucked, and Counselor Troi's mom episodes were the worst of the worst.

Worf didn't come into his own until he went to DS9 and started banging that piece of worm-symbiot ass Jadzia Dax. That's when he started getting all real Klingon.

I agree with this statement, but the one where Dr Crusher bangs a ghost is far worse than any two Troi Sr episodes combined.

Okay, yeah, that one was so bad that my mind couldn't even wrap around how bad it was until hours after I had seen it.

Geordi centered episodes were usually pretty good. I especially liked the episode 'Relics', when he was verbally pwned by Scotty. That was a well done scene.

That did not happen. The self-aware computer Landru projected that nightmare at us, it was not a real episode. Never mention it again.

Yeah, that one was all right.

Ooh. I forgot about the one episode that was so thoroughly unwatchable I had to skip over it when I was watching the series on Netflix. "Up the Long Ladder." Where the Enterprise is over-run by Irish farmers.

Worf was biologically Klingon, but his time with Klingons to me often seemed like "Okay, I've read this book on Chivalry, time to hang out with those knights." then while hanging out with the knight "Wait...we don't actually adhere to Chivalry???"

Worf always reminded me of the one smart guy on the football team who would rather talk about politics than grabbing each others arse in the locker room.

And, after watching TNG on netflix a few months back, Worf is the biggest wimp in the galaxy. He gets beat up almost every episode. If it wasn't for DS9, he would be the equivalent of the internet tough guy.

I agree, yet her episodes were bad.

However, Geordi had the worst farking romance episodes of all time.

Remember that one about the chick on the space station who they thought murdered her supervisor and it turned out it was an alien that was taking the form of the dog?

He did pretty well in the episode where he went to find his father. He owned them with rhetoric, not with brawn.
He also made up for it by wailing on half a dozen Jem Hadar, until even the first refused to kill him. I farking love that episode.

Last week I was watching the episode "Hero Worship" and my wife walked in while the boy was explaining, and lying about the boarding parties. Erica said "Let me guess, his ship was destroyed and he's the alien who really did it, and he's a shape shifter."

I said "No. The killer alien shape shifter was in a later episode. And it was a dog, not a boy."

She thought I was joking...

Hrmm. But didn't Worf have that hot Klingon one-night stand? I remember seeing her in red spandex in one ep, and young me sort of went, 'holy balls, women in the shiny are pretty damn ok.'

Same thing happened to Dargo on Farscape. Both times I'm thinking, "warrior culture my ass." There's actually a trope about this named after Worf. The "tough" character gets the crap beaten out of him to establish that the villain of the week is not a trivial obstacle.
