I was drinking 2 liters of coke a day, after growing up on it.. i never eat fast food, and don't eat bad.. but i went diabetic.. totally stopped drinking any soda at all.. now its water or tea.. lost 7# in 1 week and after a year and a half i feel much better. I do, ever since a guy I know said he caught a co-worker pissing all over a newly delivered pallet of soda six packs back int the day. Actually, I haven't drank a soda in years. Luckily the alcohol in beer sterilizes the rim each and every sip.

I don't think it's the caffeine messing her up. a 12 oz coke has 34 mg caffeine. A regular cup of coffee has between 90-120 mg caffeine. If she drinks 18 cokes thats 612 mg caffeine per day. I drink 5-6 cups of coffee per day which puts me in the 450-720 range and some days I have more. The sugar is probably a bigger problem.
