ami5000: 4NSpy: Why do Yankee fans think that their players should never be booed?

Booing is part of being a fan. I'm sure Yankee fans have booed players over less.

As a matter of fact, they booed Chase Utley in the 2008 HR Derby.

There were lots of Mets fans there that day.

No one is saying no one should be booed. Most of us are saying the reason for this particular booing is kinda sad.

Earguy: Question: If you're the manager of the all-star game, and your starting pitcher starts to throw a perfect game, do you keep him in, even if it means other guys don't get in?

A starter wouldn't get past the 2nd or 3rd anyway and that's too early to think about that stuff

2012-07-10 08:53:00 PM
Joe Nathan's girlfriend/wife hot? How weak are HIS legs, is what I'm saying.

2012-07-10 08:53:08 PM

robsul82: Mets fans should be booing Cain's every pitch. It's just the right thing to do.

He didn't make the decision.

WTF Indeed: There were lots of Mets fans there that day.

Oh I see the excuses are coming out.

Yanks_RSJ: tudorgurl: Why does everyone boo Robinson Cano?

/honest question
//he can't be a bigger douche than Alex Rodriguez.

Reader's Digest version: Cano ruined the HR Derby, and thus the lives of every resident of Kansas City by not selecting Billy Butler to participate.

Ah, I see.

Earguy: Question: If you're the manager of the all-star game, and your starting pitcher starts to throw a perfect game, do you keep him in, even if it means other guys don't get in?

No. It's an exhibition of players. Not one player.

2012-07-10 08:53:57 PM
so.. if Nathan's a closer, why is he pitching the 2nd and not a later inning?

And based on the inability to define the word "consider".

There you go, Nathan's wife must be fugly.

He should've known to pull himself out of the game. Some team's fans didn't get what they wanted and it wasn't faiiiiiiiiiiiiiir.

Pele? Don't you have any older, more obscure references?

Jose Bautista! Sweet catch by the best outfielder around.

That was a great catch

To be fair, wives aren't the problem. Girlfriends are the problem.

Now That's What I Call a Taco!: Yanks_RSJ: As Royals fans boo Robinson Cano for the 2nd consecutive night over absolutely nothing, I think we need to ask ourselves why Yankee fans are just so butthurt?

Lying isn't "absolutely nothing." And booing is no big deal. Also, this:

Fielder got the same treatment for not picking Upton last year. I think it was deserved. It's a meaningless event just for fun, and both Upton and Butler were definitely qualified to participate. You should give the hometown hero a chance.

2012-07-10 08:55:36 PM
Nice catch, but you still owe 3 runs there, Joey.

Earguy: Question: If you're the manager of the all-star game, and your starting pitcher starts to throw a perfect game, do you keep him in, even if it means other guys don't get in?

No, because you'd get shanked in the clubhouse by the pitcher's manager.

Great catch, but best outfielder? Half the time when hes playing for us and doesn't go all out I'm thankful... we cannot lose that bat

They'll get their turn later. It's a once every 40 years deal. You can watch it every year, but it comes by maybe three times in your life, if you're incredibly lucky.

I think Yankees and Royals fans can unite on the subject of that hideous bowtie on that campaign ad. Ewwww.

IT WOULD HAVE MADE KC FANS SMILE TO SEE BILLY BUTLER, CANO.

2012-07-10 09:04:13 PM
Yeah, you would be smiling, Verlander. You know what you did on the way to the photo shoot.

2012-07-10 09:04:39 PM
Hey look, Robinson Cano leads the league in smiles AND screwing over people in Kansas City.

2012-07-10 09:05:01 PM
this "smiling" with Cano crap is horrible.

Also, Fox needs to get a new jingle. I hear that sports jingle and I'm like Pavlov's dog waiting to see a NFL game...
