I don't know who is worse.. the paparazzi cockroaches, or the idiots that are invested in the personal lives of famous people.

How is it that he doesn't get charged for a false police report. "Uh, my last name is Johnson"

After listening to that recording, it is evident that that kid is just clueless.

It MIGHT have been helpful for him to tell them what was actually going on, instead of just saying "These five cars are following me."

If he was being followed, instead of "hey, I'm gonna' drive 100 mph and put everyone on the roads at risk," why didn't he just drive to the nearest police department?

someone following you to take your picture is NOT "I had to flee for my life." Someone re-creating the chase scene from Bullitt and shooting at you, ok, but people driving like assholes because you're driving like an asshole, very different.

You know, he MIGHT be a little less easy to spot if he wasn't driving a Fisker.

Just sayin'.

Driving 100 mph is obviously the stupid thing to do, but all that aside why do you expect him to know where the closest police dept is? LA is freaking huge. I grew up in LA and would have no clue where to go.

I wonder if Selena Gomez straps it on and dominates him.

I want to slap* this little shait so badly for this. You drive the biggest, shiniest AW pimpcar your little-boy self possibly can, and then you whine and CALL THE POLICE because you have attracted unwanted attention? Shut up, brat. Don't want to be followed? Don't go around screaming, "LOOK AT ME I'M AN ATTENTION WHORE!"

*Disclaimer: metaphorically speaking. I have no intention of ever being anywhere near this spoiled child star.

The Fisker Karma comes with standard GPS. Even my mother could enter "police" into a GPS and find the nearest police station.

OR, when he called 911, he could have asked instead of playing Fast and Furious

which is much more dangerous when you're sitting on a stack of phone books and have wooden blocks on the pedals.

2012-07-10 01:00:25 PM
The car he was driving had tinted windows. Why not just find a place to pull over, park the car, and sit there while you call 911, and let the papparazzi take photos of nothing, essentially? Plus, since the car is chrome, the flashbulbs will probably reflect, thus rendering anything they do get of him, completely worthless.

Driving 100 mph on the freeway is not only dangerous, it's criminally stupid.

I get the vitriol for this little girl or whatever it is like anybody else. And I'm not a "let's make a law" guy to protect these people save strict liability in the courts for productions such as TMZ for any damages resulting with harm to the public over their payment for these antics. Who the fu(k wants to see what the hell this thing is doing in its off-time anyway? Really?

It's not a "police report" at this place, and it is probably standard at this point to give out a fake name so every cock-knocker with a scanner doesn't join the fracas. It's one thing when you are sitting on the side of the road talking to the cop in uniform and he asks for your name in an official capacity.

I'm going to give him a pass on that one. Just because I would expect most high schoolers to not even know who Michelangelo is, let alone that he painted the ceiling of the "Sixteenth Chapel".

'What kind of car?'

'It's a Fisker, you know, they make scissors!!'

That would have been SO awesome!

As far as 911 calls go, what's so "amazing", "hilarious" "Fill in adjective here" about this one? It's just a call by someone who obviously doesn't call 911 very often. I've had friends try and call and come across far stupider than this.

I doubt you have a six figure car that probably has Siri built into the dash. A simple "nearest police station" would have given him directions. Also, since he was able to call the police, I'm sure they could have easily directed him.

Once again, he'd be harder to spot if he wasn't driving the Silver Surfer's Penismobile.

Isn't running from the paparazzi like running from a bear? You're only making yourself look more enticing and delicious. Just stand your ground, give a mundane wave, and they'll get bored and leave after taking a few pictures.

Cookbook's Anarchist: No. I want no more of Bieber's music coming out after his violent death at the hands of a greedy CEO.

[Looks up Tupac's discography]

4 albums under his own name while he was alive, 7 after Suge Knight had him murdered, plus 5 Best Of/remixes/barrel scraping exercises.

Damn.

I think we're safe from getting anywhere near that from the Biebs.

2012-07-10 03:35:33 PM
I always wonder if these paparazzi hope to cause a crash. While in the long run, they might not make as much money from snapping daily pictures of the celebrity if they're dead, but imagine how much money they would make off of getting the first pictures on the scene of a horrific crash of a celebrity. I bet those Princess Diana pics made those guys a lot of money.

Honestly, I don't want to side with Justin Bieber, but I think paparazzi are vile scum and there needs to be laws preventing them from following people because that's just creepy. It's not just to protect the celebrity, but they cause a disturbance for anyone in the area or on the road. Anyone who's lived in LA and been in an area where they are stalking someone has probably witnessed how much of a problem they are when there's 50 of them surrounding someone, blocking traffic and falling all over each other in order to snap a picture. Those guys don't care if they hurt someone, block traffic, or inconvenience other people.

Look I like nice cars as much as the next guy but if celebs don't want to get noticed by the paps why do they drive outrageously customized cars? A chrome Fisker, yeah that is going to stick out, by a beige Toyota Camry, tint the windows dark, make three right turns and lose whoever is following you in a sea of similar cars.
