Diogenes: I see Obama continues to keep Romney and the RNC in reactive mode.

Obama has a pocket full of stunts he can pull to keep the GOP reacting instead of playing their game. I bet he has over 2 dozen things ready to go that he can inject into the 24 hour news cycle whenever he wants their heads to explode.

Rinsed Penis is out of his league.

I didn't think they would start losing their shiat until September. American voters don't respond well to desperation in my experience. The GOP has to pretend that are winning and have the momentum. It isn't true and they don't really believe it but they have to work on that premise if they ever hope to win. If they start acting desperate and beaten, they are finished.

/what I meant to say is that they should continue acting butthurt

I'm just amazed at the amount of "OMG we're still gonna lose" desperation, despite the massive amount of money Mitt and the super PACs are raising.

Maybe people really are already starting to feel that the rich guy is trying to buy the White House.

Wait, so Republicans now think outsourcing is bad even though they spent years defending the practice?

Priebus will unveil a new website, called ObamanomicsOutsourced.com, which the RNC said will show instances where the president's policies have led to job creation overseas.

So vote for the guy who outsources jobs and his own money.

It is ideologically consistent: "The government sucks, they can't do anything as well as the private sector. Even outsourcing."

// either that or "outsourcing is only OK when private companies do it with taxpayers' help"

So basically their campaign strategy is to allow Obama to dictate their itinerary and go 'NO! DON'T LISTEN TO HIS LIES! HATE HIM! HATE HIM, DAMN YOU!'?

That's not exactly a top-tier strategy there.

I think they secretly realize that Romney is a terrible candidate whose record is almost indistinguishable from Obama's; all that money that the super PACs are raising is going to Congressional races.

How I read it:

"Save America. Fire black guy and hire Mitt Romney," Priebus said on "KKK TV." "Mitt Romney has to win for the sake of the very idea of America: white, largely male and largely wealthy, control of government. Mitt Romney has to win for liberty and freedom for the rich."

If your last name is "Priebus", at least cut the kid a little slack and name him something basic like Joe or Sam.

1. No one in the GOP base will be able to spell this, or have the patience to even try.

2. I should buy up every common misspelling of this that I can think of, and have it link back to a pro-Obama website dressed up to look nearly identical to correct website.

I'm not worried about Mitt's giant stacks of PAC cash. I think Obama pulls it off regardless.

I'm terrified of congressional elections. I'm terrified of state congress elections. How many states are pushing through bills that limit people's right to vote?

That's doable because state congresses are red.

I simply don't understand this 'bracketing' strategy Romney and the GOP keeps using. I'm probably biased, but to me it simply seems childish. Not on par with say, having your campaign bus drive around honking at an Obama event, but still somewhat stupid a kid would do. I half expect Romney to just repeat everything Obama says in their first debate like a six-year-old trying to get under someone's skin.

If Romney was a worthwhile and engaging candidate, or had some sweeping ideas or message that people were really excited about then I might understand it. It would still strike me as childish but I'd at least get why they wanted to draw a contrast between the two candidates. Instead he just shows up like the loser kid not invited to the party and tells everyone how badly the other guy sucks. I don't see how that translates to a lot of votes for Romney.
