Very nifty. I'm sure people will write scholarly essays about the use of color in Breaking Bad, if they haven't already.

Yup and the one:

The King is dead.

"I am not in danger, I am the danger"

All hail the King.

And also there is the first two minutes of the new episode up, I think.

I remember a scene in the meth lab during a particularly low part in their dealings with Gus, where Walt & Jesse were wearing bright yellow lab coats on that bloody red floor, and I couldn't help but think they looked like chickens frying on a grill. Pretty appropriate for the owner of Los Pollos Hermanos.

The red floor conjures up an image of hellfire for me. It's almost Faustian.

Breaking Bad is boring. There I said it.

I am only in the second season so far, and maybe it was a dull spot, but for the accolades this show gets I am bored to death with it. First season was really good, but this one sucks.

They need to get rid of the annoying wife and son. Completely un-compelling storyline. Show also needs some kind of a musical score. When nothing much of anything is happening on screen (let's watch Jesse camp out in an abandoned house waiting for someone to come home for ten minutes,) there needs to be some kind of musical score. I get it, you're underscoring the desolation and isolation of New Mexico and these people's lives, but fark YOU ARE BORING ME.

Anyway, I hope it picks up.

There was a link libranoelrose showed me and it had lots of screenshots of hidden things people have discovered in Breaking Bad. He'll probably show up and link it again. One of the things was Hector when he was younger sitting in a western-themed patio chair and the sides were made of wagon wheels, putting him in a "wheelchair".

I'll miss Hector.

Maybe. I also don't like Muppets or Transformers (the toys. I could never be accused of being weird for disliking the films,) and other sacred cows I'm sure.

But the first season was very good. I am just bored shiatless with the second.

If you are in the middle of the season, have patience. If however you made it to the end of the second season and still think that, I have to agree with Confabulat that you are suffering from some sort of mental disorder and should probably seek help, and soon.

AKA "literary wankery."

The show's great, but the pink teddy bear signified nothing but a flash forward.

After you get to the end of the season, if you see me in a thread, threadjack it momentarily to tell me if I am right or not. I don't think you can get to the conclusion of the season, see how it all comes together, and not have a "HOLY SH*T" revelatory moment.

The 2nd season is probably the most "boring" of all of them, I can see that... but I still liked most of the story lines.

The 3rd and 4th seasons do have more drama/action going on. Although people had very stark reactions to the "Fly" episode in season 3.

The "Fly" episode was fairly painful, but I understand how it ties in with the narrative and Walters downfall.

My only complaint, and this could be on purpose, is the extremely unrealistic meth use in the show. He must either feel that this behavior shouldn't be realistically portrayed 'for the children' or whatever, or he did very little research into the matter.

I know it's a petty detail, but I'm petty like that.

"Breaking Bad Insider Podcast," you are missing a lot.

I don't know if it's right to compare that season to those other two seasons, what with the whole apples/oranges thing.

Suffice it to say, Season 4 is very, very, very good.

I'm torn between the badassery in the next-to-last episode of Season 3 (... "RUN.") and that great moment from Season 1: "This... is not meth."

Heck, the third season finale counts as well. Walt makes the act of telling someone a STREET ADDRESS the most badass thing ever.

Lando Lincoln: AKA "literary wankery."

Yeah, this. I'm new to the show--I watched all four seasons in seven days (just finished on Saturday)--but the pink teddy bear thing...meh. It was a flash forward that was completely beyond the ability to predict because a) it was an event completely out of the blue; and b) it was completely out of the blue because we had no idea what Jane's dad's job was.

Not a very good literary device, IMO. Just an 'oh what's this? What's this? Ha, bet you didn't see that coming!' Well of course not, asshole, there wasn't enough information given to figure it out.

Brilliant show though. After marathoning the first four seasons, having to wait week-to-week for new episodes (and then another year for the last 8) is going to be murder.
