Screamin: If the only Nugent song you know is "Stranglehold", you're not paying attention and I pity you. You can hate his politics or his personality all you want but that guy has made and continues to make great records and Wild Mick Brown is from Dokken, he's no slouch on drums. Seems like Dave Grohl got busted for DUI on a golf cart a few years ago as well.

I know a lot more Nugent songs than Stranglehold, and I have to say, I don't care what your politics are, 99% of it is farking terrible. It's music for people with mullets, an old Z-28 and an ever expanding middle who want to pretend that it's still 1978, because that was the last year they were still cool and their lives didn't completely suck. It's just typical dull as shiat, misogynistic "cock rock" crap. If not for his political spewings nobody under the age of 45 would know or care who this farkhole is. He'd be about as well remembered as Foghat and Black Oak Arkansas.

The one thing I will give the Nuge credit for is being able to play a hollowbody that loud without getting obnoxious howling feedback.

Nice frosting, dude.

He looks like a middle-aged lesbian tennis pro.

SurelyShirley: Yeah, but Dave Grohl IS Rock 'n Roll, so there's the difference.

Grohl is also widely regarded as a super nice guy. Nugent, eh, he's a rabid conservative. In my experience that means he's fundamentally a jerk.

Fark him. Notice how quiet he's been since his little meeting with the Secret Service?

Grace Slick said it best:

Slick, who was never shy about the idea of getting old, stated that the main reason she retired from the music business was that "all rock-and-rollers over the age of 50 look stupid and should retire". In a 2007 interview, she repeated her belief that "you can do jazz, classical, blues, opera, country until you're 150, but rap and rock and roll are really a way for young people to get that anger out."

Those cops got Mickrolled!

Frankly, if I had to listen to Nugent all day, I'd want to be drunk too. Even if you agree with him, he has to be irritating.

All you have to do is stuff it or put a bunch of braces in it.

Fark him and his music. It could never, ever be good enough or talented enough to get me past his politics and what a shiatball he is. If he kept his politics to himself I'm sure he'd have a lucrative career on royalties from AOR stations and playing county fairs. He'll still have that lucrative career, but we all get to call him a coont and negate his music because he's a horrible person. shiat, I heard Pol Pot made some kick as flute music, I pity the fool who doesn't appreciate it.

Somehow, I think the Obvious tag would've been more appropriate than the Dumbass tag.

I read the headline and thought, "Yeah... that sounds about right."

I'm sure he can replace him, how hard could it be to play drums on a Ted Nugent tune? I could do it and I suck on drums.

I thought you sucked on the organ.

Now I'm heckling myself.

I was thinking he looks like Ozzy Osbourne's mother but that'll do.

Who the fark goes to a Ted Nugent concert?

"Play Stranglehold! Wooo!"

*plays Stranglehold*

"Okay, thanks. Wooo!*

So he left working with Don Dokken to play with Ted Nugent? Messed up trade.
