Seems that "most" is an overstatement -- but probably not by much.

Obesity is not a disability, sorry. It can be remedied in most people.

2012-07-09 01:31:13 PM
Even if you claim you can be addicted to eating, you can still choose to not be obese by being physically active.

Personal choices are not disabilities.

Obesity is caused by bad decisions made over and over.

How much longer do you think it will be before this comes back to bite them in the ass when the people they hire to do plumbing/electrical work/construction need to keep stopping to eat a sandwhich? They pay for the hour, you know.

Justices Beth Baker, James Nelson, Mike Wheat and Patricia O'Brien Cotter joined in the majority decision.

Of course women would think being fat is a disability. Guess the other two were just fat.

Hot Damn!!! Disability payments, here I come!!

Sweet! Hey, why not extend this same line of reasoning to drug use? It's a disability that I like to use LSD, similar to how other people like to eat cheeseburgers everyday. You don't mind if I come into work trippin' balls every day, right? Cool.

The state Supreme Court says obesity qualifies as an impairment in some cases

Fart_Machine: So most of the US population is disabled now?

Well, 33% of it at least.

How many people die of obesity related issues?

Now, how many people die of issues related to being underweight(i.e. anorexia and bulimia)?

It's kinda sad, because all through the 90's people focused like a laser on eating disorders that left you skin and bones, when the percentage of those people has been sub 10% for decades and declining, while obesity has just gone up and up and up.

It really is a simple formula. Make sure your calories in is less than your calories out, and you will lose weight.

The court documents don't appear to reveal how much Feit weighed.

You'd think they would be more concerned with the weight of his ass and gut.

Eh. Not so much. That was set up to keep women out of a place of employment.

Large men can be very strong. I have quite a few friends who exceed 300 pounds (and have since they were in their 20s). I could always count on them to help me move my furniture.

This time last summer I was overweight and blood pressure was high. Joined Weight Watchers. Didn't use their food, but followed their principles. Lost 34 pounds in 6 months. Down to acceptable range for my height. Blood pressure went from 158/90 to 106/68 (as of last week).

Point: I hate diets, but if I can do it, anybody can. Claiming disability because you like to overeat is unacceptable
