So now it's racist to oppose giving American guns to Mexican drug running murderers...because they're brown! -gotcha

/Oh racecard, is there anything you can't explain away for the democrats?
//Hundreds of brown Mexicans were killed with F&F guns; where's your compassion for them, Zalan?

Do you read any NRA literature? They aren't against F&F because guns ended up in the hands of Mexican cartels. They oppose it because they thought it was the first step in attempting to limit the sales of guns.

From Newsmax:

The government-sanctioned gunrunning operation Fast and Furious was a plot to undermine Second Amendment rights in the United States, National Rifle Association officerWayne LaPierre charged on Friday in an exclusive interview with Newsmax.TV.

"It's the only thing that makes any sense," LaPierre said. "Over a period of two or three years they were running thousands and thousands of guns to the most evil people on earth. At the same time they were yelling '90 per cent... of the guns the Mexican drug cartels are using come from the United States.'

Done in seven.

Hmm.

Except the 12,000 documents Holder refuses to hand over.

One of those is Sasha's copy of "Hop on Pop". You can see why Obama's loath to give that up, and one wonders what value it would have for the investigation in the first place.

I suspect Michelle Obama's shopping lists provide a similar paucity of investigatory value.

Yes, that innocent Mexicans were killed with these guns (or tens of thousands have been killed over the last couple of years) isn't even a blip on their radar. They think this is part of Obama's master plan to destroy the 2nd Amendment. That's their opposition to F&F, that it may be effective at limiting the flow of guns.

I think it would be more entertaining to slowly walk idiots like this down the path they have laid. They are saying that someone indirectly involved in the purchase of a gun that may have later been used in a murder should be held responsible. Using this standard obviously gun sellers should be prosecuted if they sell a gun that is later used in a crime.

In their paranoia over gun control, they are spouting rhetoric that is taken to its logical conclusion goes further than all but the most rabid gun control supporters advocate.

Does this sort of polling prove anything other than the effectiveness of political propaganda? I wouldn't be surprised if less than one in a hundred of those polled have any idea about the facts of the case they are being questioned about. This is what passes for news?

And look at the poll: The sample includes 1,138 interviews among land line respondents and 379 interviews among cell phone respondents.

This was a push poll, nothing more and nothing less.

Yeah, excuse me for not buying what the RNC is selling. They've been trying to get something, ANYTHING to stick since Obama was elected; they have a problem with EVERY SINGLE THING that he's done as President. For farks sake, they cried over his choice of mustard, and that he went to his kid's soccer game.

And it's not just Obama; Republicans pulled the same shiat during Clinton's presidency. And that didn't work even when they caught Clinton getting a BJ from an intern.

2012-07-09 02:56:04 PM
Issa has already said that there is no sign of a cover up on the part of Holder or the White House. There is absolutely zero evidence to indicate that Holder or Obama knew of the operation being conducted by the ATF in Tuscon. In addition, the evidence shows that there was never any intention to purposefully allow the guns to cross the border into Mexico.

The documents that Issa has subpoenaed do not relate to the actual oversight and operations of Fast & Furious. They are internal communications by members of the Executive Branch dealing with how to respond to the congressional inquiry. Congress has the right to ask the Executive Branch questions and they should answer them. They do not, however, have to turn over their inner works on how they answered those questions.

It wasn't just Plame's life that was endangered with that. Everyone who came into contact with her or her cover company, no matter how innocuous, were put at risk. I have no doubt several people lost their lives due to that leak.

It would be more accurate to say the NRA is essentially responsible for helping drug cartels murder hundreds of people. The F&F actual operation didn't let anyone take anything, they just didn't have a legal leg to stand on to prevent it because they gun runners weren't committing a crime when they were traceable by the ATF, whose resources are negligible in the first place, both of which are largely due to NRA efforts to prevent gun control laws and weaken the enforcement of them.

Hello, this is Meme calling soakitincider. Anyone home?

See, when someone comes in here and says "both sides bad", usually, in fact, almost always, they are Republicans or Conservatives without any kind of actual logical reasoning why Obama is a crap president. They are annihilated whenever they get into a debate so they usually just give up and say "Both Sides Are Bad..." when really they mean "So Vote Republican". Hence, the BSABSVR meme.

And you know how I know you fit in that mold? Hint: the bold talking point above which is pretty much false.

So, you either have become apathetic about your party because they suck or love the libertarian crap of RON PAUL, but in the end.... Obummer must be defeated, amirite?

The half of the story I've heard is about how ATF agents tracked suspected gun runners and knew names, addresses, $$ and # of guns purchased but since it IS 100% LEGAL to buy large volumes of guns and then re-sell them in Arizona the U.S. Attorney's office told them they couldn't arrest. How is that "gun-walking"? If you can't arrest someone legally, even for something you pretty much know is illegal, then doing so is a crime and confiscating the weapons is highway robbery.

What I find despicable and confusing about the whole thing is how the DOJ decided to admit to doing something that they didn't actually do.

The DOJ admitted to gun walking because there was an ATF agent the conducted his own sting and used agency money to buy 5 or 6 guns and let those go into Mexico to track them, and later lost them. He did this without ATF approval or DOJ approval and he was reprimanded for this. The funny thing is this guy then went on to be the whistle blower in this whole gun walking scandal.

And the .gov doesn't need to seize a whole segment of the economy to have more power you know. Sweeping regulatory powers that it didn't have before are sufficient.

Ummm, wut? Its absolutely true. Well except for the 'only' bit maybe but you didn't bold that.

Ok, so where is the government power grab? Healthcare? You realize that isn't a "takeover" of medicine and healthcare, right? You won't be getting treated by government doctors, in case you were unaware.

Well yes healthcare, but its not the first thing I would have mentioned.

And the .gov doesn't need to seize a whole segment of the economy to have more power you know. Sweeping regulatory powers that it didn't have before are sufficient.

But.... I just.... told you... that it wasn't a power grab. And then you strangely just ignored that fact.

I can't help people who can't read. Sorry.
