The woman

Ummm, subby... you really should skim tfa before submitting.

That being said... kill her. She serves no purpose.

You know what would help....if we restricted them from voting since they don't understand. People who own property really know what struggles are happening around us. They should be the ones to vote.

She does have a point. If poor people understood what was going on they wouldn't be voting Republican. I know a number of lower middle / upper poor people who have a VERY poor understanding of basic political facts.

Look, I get that this plays right in with what you liberals say about the rich, but this woman clearly didn't give her name because she didn't want the Lamestream MSM media attacking her during her daily life.

This woman works harder and is smarter than her nail woman. You can tell, because she has more money.

Uh, eat the rich? I'm sure her tender under-worked flesh is delicious and highly marbled.

"they don't understand what's going on."

Well, not all of them, but that's changing. They're slowly realizing just how badly they're being farked by a system run by a bunch of insanely rich sociopaths. The ones who're ignorant of what's "going on" or too stupid to understand it are the ones who continue to vote Republican despite it not being in their best interest.

Harpy. Dry. Bad.

2012-07-09 10:17:07 AM
Look, you want to raise her taxes? You want her to have less money on discretionary items? You explain that to her "nail lady" when she can't afford to get a mani/pedi every week.

What the hell do you think will happen to her grooms if she has to sell her polo ponies?

Stupid libs. Never thinking of the little people.

This is the ocean Romney swims in. This sort of elitist, entitled attitude amongst his peers is so ubiquitous that he doesn't even notice it anymore. This is why he continually comes off as out of touch and incapable of relating to 99% of the American people.

2012-07-09 10:23:42 AM
Let's be fair. She's never had to worry about where the rent is coming from. She's never had to scrape together the cash to get an old clunker through inspection. She hasn't had to muscle through a day of work after the baby kept her awake all night. I doubt she even had to worry about a student loan payment.

So, she has absolutely no clue about how we live.

There's no bread, let them eat cake
There's no end to what they'll take
Flaunt the fruits of noble birth
Wash the salt into the earth

But they're marching to Bastille Day
La guillotine will claim her bloody prize
Free the dungeons of the innocent
The king will kneel and let his kingdom rise

Bloodstained velvet, dirty lace
Naked fear on every face
See them bow their heads to die
As we would bow as they rode by

[ From : http://www.elyrics.net/read/r/rush-lyrics/bastille-day-lyrics.html ]
And we're marching to Bastille Day
La guillotine will claim her bloody prize
Sing, oh choirs of cacophony
The king has kneeled, to let his kingdom rise

Lessons taught but never learned
All around us anger burns
Guide the future by the past
Long ago the mould was cast

For they marched up to Bastille Day
La guillotine claimed her bloody prize
Hear the echoes of the centuries
Power isn't all that money buys

SsshhhhhhhhhhhhhCHUNK.

Well, statistically-speaking, that's rather true.

Of course, plenty of rich people are farking stupid as well. Money isn't rational and doesn't go to one level of intelligence over another.

Stupid people are everywhere.

/and they're the majority!

2012-07-09 10:27:25 AM
Let's just drop the pretense and make political contributions count as votes. Why the hell not? People vote every day with their wallets. If a product or service is good, people will pay for it. If a product or service stinks, people will not pay for it, and it will quickly vanish. That is a form of voting.

One dollar = one vote. Unlimited votes per person or corporate entity. No checks or credit cards, cash only. Votes not subject to gift tax. Heck, make the votes tax deductible.

The candidates will lay it out plain and simple: "Ladies and gentlemen, here's what I will do with the money you donate to me!" Whoever gets the larger tally wins, plus he gets half the loser's donations too.

It'll be great. You'll see heart-wrenching stories of grammas bringing in their change jars, dumping their pennies into the Coinstar/voting machine. You'll have Mr. Drysdale sauntering up to the poll station followed by his aide-de-camp hauling a dolly of suitcases packed with fresh bricks of bills.

The United States is not the meritocracy that rich people keep insisting that it is.

The alternative would be admitting they lucked into their wealth by genetic chance - something their egos won't allow.

they hate apostate traitors more than anything else. these folks consider the poor people to be a short term problem - dangle something shiny in front of 'em, make a few excuses and give them a few table scraps and it'll be fine. But when rich people turn against their fellow elites? THAT'S serious! that they take personally.

Some other choice quotes from people forced to wait at the gate in their Aston Martins:

"Is there a V.I.P. entrance? We are V.I.P." (There was no VIP line.)
"Tell them who's on your yacht this weekend! Tell him!" (It was a Miramax executive.)
"He is a socialist." ("He" is the president, obviously.)
"It's not helping the economy to pit the people who are the engine of the economy against the people who rely on that engine."
