That's how the book ended, with them voluntarily giving up their powers and rewriting their own memories of it. Except for her character maybe not going along with that plan.

I dont care what you guys say. Her role in Sliver was directly responsible for nailing a girl was WAY out of my league TWICE! I dont know what it was but that girl wouldnt even talk to me on the street, but we watched Sliver at a mutual friends house and after the movie she asked me for a ride to go get some Carls Jr (classy right) and 10 minutes later were parked in the AZ desert banging like it was our last day on earth.

So fark you guys Sharon gets a pass in my book and always will. *Starts humming Memories*

I wanted to enjoy Sphere, I really did. I liked the book a lot. I don't know if it is because I read the book when I was younger or if the subject just doesn't translate well to film or if they just did a shiatty job, but while the book struck me as interesting, gripping, and profound (particularly the notion that alien life will be so alien we most likely would not even know it when we saw it) the film just seemed goofy.
