It's not up to the UN to enforce. It's up to the Obama administration, who will simply put a "tax" on firearm ownership, because, y'know, Chief Justice Roberts wharrgarble...

Obama is just waiting until his second term to take our guns. Super seekrit Mooslim swears...

I mean, yeah he was cracking down on deporting illegals, cracking down on illegal marijuana farms, enforcing bans on mary jane, killing pirates, finding Bin Laden, helping roust Ghaddaffi, supporting the Arab Spring, and helping to pass health care reform, and looking to implement a withdrawal from Iraq and Afghanistan but that was just a ruse to GET OUR GUNS!

Seriously, kids. If this cat had an R next to his name, these folks would be lined up around the block to vote for him, and sing his praises and name him the Second Coming of Reagan...

Yep. Like Obama. And the Democratic party. And hippies. And atheists.

The UN agreement might be total bullshiat, but since when did we do what the UN wanted when it didn't suit us anyway?

I really think they should spread the rumor that ATF agents with embedded UN officers will be confiscating weapons from peoples homes on November 6th, 2012. Even if you could convince 10% of them to stay home to defend their guns, you would be successful.

I don't condone it because any election tampering is offensive, but there's a certain poetic justice to using the same kind of bullshiat disenfranchising tactics like robo-calls telling people that their guns will be registered and confiscated if they vote.

While the terms have yet to be made public, if passed by the U.N. and ratified by our Senate, it will almost certainly force the U.S. to:

So basically the article is just made up bullshiat.

Wiki: A quick search of the Internet (on Feb 8, 2012) confirms that the treaty is highly controversial in the United States and has been fodder for political speeches, blogs, viral political e-mails and advertisements claiming or insinuating that the treaty provides a "legal way around the 2nd amendment," and a "complete ban on all weapons for U.S. citizens." Snopes.com, the "urban myth" tester, calls the viral e-mail "scarelore" and false.[15] The Huffington Post reports that "such a scenario remains virtually impossible."[16] The Los Angeles Times reports on October 23, 2011 that "only a narrow fringe purports that Americans could see their guns taken away by the U.N., which has no authority over constitutional rights."[17]

I love the quotes around "unauthorized" firearms without any kind of factors to what makes a firearm unauthorized, though it seems scary with the 'excepting those owned by the government'. I'm fully scared now because there is a certain vagueness to this that must make it not only true, but truest in all the scary parts. Someone hold me until the 'FW:FW:FW:they'll tek er guns!' emails start coming to make me feel better.

start GRABBIN' GUNS!!!!!

So, the UN is completely powerless in pretty much all international circumstances, but would FORCE the US to enact all of these things (which are things author of TFA made up because actual terms have not been made public).

These guys are the biggest pants-wetting cowards I've ever seen.

Yeah, all those people who will be paying for health insurance. Truly, with all those new policies, and all those folks added to the rolls, the insurance companies must be crying themselves to sleep...

Or do you think he was talking about the subsidy programs for corn and other agricultural businesses? Or the subsidies for businesses that ship jobs overseas? Or the tax breaks for businesses that do the same?

Too simple Obama is playing 3 dimensional chess. See in his second term he is going to legalize marijuana, completely change the drug schedule, turning the drug problem into one of treatment, compassion and socialism.

If trends from other countries that have used this approach are any indication crime, particularly violent crime (i.e. gun crime) will radically decrease, prison populations will decrease, and citizens will become happier.

At the same time he will enact new taxes on gun sales and gun manufacturers, as if you really want less of something you tax the shiat out of it, while increasing the monetary penlites for owning an unregistered illegal gun.

Thus creating both an economic and a social pressure that reduces the desire of citizens to own guns. Sure the hard core gun bunnies will still be able to buy their artificial penises and stroke them, the casual hunter will still be able to purchase rifles and shotguns, but the cost to do so and need to do so for "home defense" will drive the sales of such guns down.

2012-07-09 10:14:15 AM
Then, in a move unprecedented in American history, the Obama administration quietly banned the re-importation and sale of 850,000 collectable antique U.S.-manufactured M1 Garand and Carbine rifles that were left in South Korea following the Korean War. Developed in the 1930s, the venerable M1 Garand carried the U.S. through World War II, seeing action in every major battle.

What precedent did he expect? Did he think Calvin Coolidge might have banned the re-importation of Korean War surplus rifles?
