(Courier Mail)   When you die, most people want to leave behind in their will money or a family heirloom for their children. This guy is going to leave behind a nine-foot saltwater crocodile. Thanks, Dad   (couriermail.com.au) divider line 25

Fought to get her back after she 'accidently' bit off his hand. What? I would've wanted her back too, as a pair of boots.

3 meters? That's gotta be closer to 10 feet...

The croc has already shown it has a taste for human flesh... so when you die, Dad, we're going to save on funeral costs AND crocodile feeding costs at the same time.

"When you die, most people want to leave behind in their will money or a family heirloom for their children."

Aw geez. OK, mods have strangely greenlit another linguistic monstrosityof a headline in yet another disturbing and successfull attempt to hurt my brain.

Let's just break this baby down.

"When you die, most people want to leave behind in their will..."

Wait a minute. So, when I die, most people will want to leave behind in their will? Who would want to inherit behind from a family member on the occasion of my death when I am a total stranger? Moreover, what does this mean? Do they get a rump roast, buttsecks, do they get left behind? I don't understand what 'behind' is being left and how it is intended to be used.

"...money or a family heirloom for their children."

Oh. OK. So when I die, most people will also offer to their families the option of receiving money or a family heirloom in lieu of behind.

Nevermind. Makes perfect sense now.

Carry on, all.

After further pondering this headline, I have concluded that I am OK with the idea of everyone having buttsecks on the occasion of my passing.

Thank you for pointing out just how horrible that headline is. Trying to find any grammatical or syntactical rule that wasn't broken would be more work than I am willing to perform on a Sunday.

I always thought having a pet tortoise that you can pass down threw multiple generations would be neat.

Hey now. I could use a little behind. Just not that of a dead guy.

Salt water crocs are among the meanest things living in the ocean. Pretty sure they eat some sharks.

Aww man. All my dad is leaving for me in his will is some firearms. Those will probably end up living with one of my brothers until we could arrange time to hit a shooting range.

I got left an overweight leopard once. It took me over a year to find an animal sanctuary that would take her.
