Same here. Except mine is more of a well stocked underground bunker. Or possibly a space station. Either way, everyone else is dead.

Barrientos's land has two buildings - a small hut where he sleeps, eats, listens to the radio and pours over stacks of newspapers when they are delivered to him twice a year.

What's he pouring over the newspapers?

Poring over magazines would be the way to learn what's inside them. Pouring over them would probably just get them wet. Also joining two words into their one-word homonym should not be an everyday mistake seen every day.

Villa Grove Colorado

Click through

West of Villa Grove, in the 80s was a ranch of 88,000 acres, pretty much everything West of VG up to the Continental Divide.

I had the ranch listed for sale in the mid 80s. There was one cowboy running the place, named Jack. At the time, 74 years old with a constant companion Border Collie.

Jack had been to Denver once, in 1950, and declared it too busy and loud. Never went back. Pretty much never left the ranch. Had the clearest blue 1,000 yard eyes you'd ever see. made Paul Newman's eyes look cloudy. Jack was incredibly sharp and quick witted, lived in one room log cabin and according to him, had everything he needed right there.
