That race is marked as 2011 on the DirectTV schedule.

I don't know if that effects the green or not, but subby is a little late on this one.

Road America is a good track

/but Laguna Seca is better

Have you been to both? Have you driven both?

Road America is much more fun. Laguna is nice though.

/and it appears that Speed is showing this rerun because the F1 race is on Fox tomorrow and Speed needed something to fill the space.

I live in California. I'm biased. I've never visited RA, but I've been to LS several times.
Sadly, my driving experience was limited to local 1/4 mile ovals.

/and you of all people should know I was trolling

I thought you were just shooting the shiat about tracks.

Anyway, Road America and Road Atlanta are two of my favorite tracks. So many good times and both so fast and fluid.

Get a car to take to Laguna Seca. You will have a blast. It doesn't have to cost a fortune either for a weekend.

Truth be told, they're both great road courses. My personal dream has always been to drop through The Corkscrew on a good bike.

/but I'd settle for an Indy car :)

I think this just needs to become the F1 thread.

Great start by Alonso, but Webber's staying right there.

Crazy passing in lap 2!

-Lots of aggressive moves. Great racing so far.

I think it's a letting out of all that frustration from 3 days of qualifying in the rain.

This is a great series. So much action and a great series to see an event with the small crowds. You can get real close to the cars and meet the drivers.

Great stop for Alonso, that should seal a win (assuming there's no rain).

Kobayashi was just a tad off on that pit stop...

I am biased on the greatest track debate, seeing how I volunteer at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

I dig the Continental series. Hell, I like all the sports car series. But I'm drooling like a moron in anticipation of MotoGP. Taking the week off work. I've got friends camping at the corkscrew, drivers right; and friends camping at turn 5, drivers right. I'll be watching the main event from the communications booth, best view at the track. I have passes for half a dozen VIP parties around town. And I will be doing a charity bicycle ride around the track with some of the MotoGP racers on the Wednesday before the race.

I'll take pics.

I spoke too soon. I think Webber is going to pass him.

Great pass by Webber. Glad to see him ahead of the wunderkind.

Awesome race. I wanted Alonso to win but Webber's a good driver and I'm always happy for him when he wins.

I wonder if this is why there wasn't an F1 thread today.

It wasn't that great of a race compared to the rest of the season, unless you are a Webber fan.

And the delayed broadcast does make a green thread less likely.

You know how I know that you've never driven a car on a track at speed with other cars?

Wait, wat? *click* Well, I'll be damned. I could swear there was an F1 thread greenlit this morning.

MeinRS6: And the delayed broadcast does make a green thread less likely.

And yet here we are in a thread for a race that happened two weeks ago.

/ Not a rerun, though
// Two-week tape delay

The one in the subject line.

Check it:
http://www.grand-am.com/ScheduleResults/ContinentalTire.aspx

All races are tape-delayed by two weeks.
