So I just watched the video and I could have sworn that when the MP went for his shoe the activist saw it and went for his own shoe for a second. Like some sort of wild west quickshoe competition.

Never bring a flip-flop to a wingtip fight.

Fark Me To Tears: FTFA: But the MP took off his right shoe and threw it before pulling out a silver pistol and pointing it at the activist.

I'm not familiar with the cultural nuances here. Is this the correct protocol, throwing a shoe and then pulling out a pistol? If so, I like it. It's like the shoe is a courtesy, putting out the notice that things are going to escalate really quickly in the next few seconds.

It would really be embarrassing if you screwed up and threw your pistol at the guy and then started brandishing your shoe.

For a second I thought this was about Romney. I was expecting to read about a number of audience members hurt from the hot shrapnel and springs going everywhere.

What they really need over there is a gun that shoots shoes. The classy high society types will shoot prada at each other. The lower income types will have to make do shooting KEDs instead.

That's one thing that Bush did right -- he dodged that shoe with ninja-like swiftness.

The two men continued to struggle as the show ended and the credits ran.

I'd have been pissed if I'd been watching and didn't get to see how things played out.

If the Bush incident was any indication, that is the traditional first step
