This Face Left Blank: I wish I was hip enough to understand wtf that means.
Pincy: List fails big time without "Comfortably Numb".
fusillade762: This Face Left Blank: I wish I was hip enough to understand wtf that means.Heh, you must have missed this one. I'm generally up on most Brit lingo, but this had me baffled:It wouldn't be this week without a mention of the 'Roses. Every one of their gigs ever [subs to check] has finished with this frugfest where Mani's bouncing bass, Reni's splashing beats and John Squire's power-chording poses send the band towards a gurning baggy future. Ian's popped out for a Tizer.Anyone care to translate?
DanZero: ATTENTION ALL PLANETS OF THE SOLAR FEDERATIONWE HAVE ASSUMED CONTROL/runs
I Like Bread: bad_ed: I was always partial to the end of "More Than This".I always thought that was the weakest cut on the album. The hook is kind of boring and the whole thing smacks of trying to recapture "Red Rain" with more distortion. If I had to pick a great PG outro, I'd go for "Secret World".For Genesis, I'd pick "Inside And Out".
Dwight_Yeast: Rolling Stones - 'Can't you Hear Me Knocking?" - Mick Taylor and Keef out-do Santana's entire career in like three minutes.
Mugato: bdub77: No GNR? November Rain? Paradise City? Cmon man.Nightrain
Mister Peejay: SilentStrider: The end of Metallica's One"One" belongs on the list of songs from your favorite artists that was ruined for you by being overplayed and turned into a trendy thing by retarded locust-like microcephalics./Metallica was more of an "awesome intro" band anyway
puffy999: Just based on what the list contains, it's missing Weezer - Only In Dreams.
lacydog: While probably not worthy of "best ever" lists, I think Muse makes great use of the outro. Micro Cuts, Space Dementia, Citizen Erased, and Knights of Cydonia come to mind.
Hoopy Frood: "Hey Jude" isn't even the Beatles' most epic outro. "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" is. Torn up rather well by the Eric Gales Band, too.
Three Crooked Squirrels: ELO Mr. Blue Sky. There's a ton of great outros out there, but Mr. Blue Sky is my fave. The wife goes with Backstreets
eaglepuss: Thank God I'm not the only one who thinks whoever has that out of tune guitar in the outro to Layla should be killed. That has bothered me for years but most people don't even hear it!
